Ok I found where they have Target's weekly circular for each zip code on their website. I'm guessing I can print out the Disney ad from the web and Best Buy will honor that?
In that case, I'll get two Best Buy gift cards and use price matching to get this deal:
Gift Card One - $23.49 (inc. tax)
Bambi PE
The Parent Trap
Candleshoe
Gift Card Two - $17.07 (inc. tax)
Flight of the Navigator
Apple Dumpling Gang
Cat From Outer Space*
It will require quite a few transactions (one to buy the cards and then twice to use them), since I don't think they'll let you do more than 3 DVDs in one transaction. It's definitely worth it, though, as I'll be getting 6 solid Disney DVDs for $40.56 (including tax & a Thumper plush)!!
*I might forego this one, making it 2 for $10.38, or get another $9.99 one in its place.
Oh, and it doesn't look like Target's sale applies online.

I tried that-- printing the ad from online and showing it them for price match and they didn't honor that. But you could try it; my cashier was a jerkette anyway (she didn't know that 2 for $15 meant the DVDs would be $7.50 each

What is the gift card you are all talking about at Best Buy?

Last week at Best Buy when I bought the three Ghibli movies, I tried to use the Disney gift card coupon technique, but it didn't work. They said it was because the three movies have to be regular price and it's not good on sale items (the Ghibli films were on sale for $17.99 for the week, regularly $19.99).
The girl working the register (where do they get these flakes?) was really confused by the whole thing: buy gift card, then use it and coupon. She had to have the manager come over. He was the one who said the coupon is only good on regularly-priced movies. But there is a slight possiblity that it didn't work because the movies aren't produced by Disney, only distributed by Disney.
So, Aaron and msadrakula, let us know if the coupon works with the sales price on Bambi, etc.

Bill- does the coupon actually say that on it (that it doesn't apply to discounted prices)? I'm so fed up with Best Buy's attitude lately. I won't back down without at least letting the manager know what I think first.

There is a Disney Best Buy gift certifcate at Best Buy. You can put whatever dollar amount you want on it. It also comes with a Disney CD-Rom and a coupon for Buy 2 Disney movies and get $5 off, 3 and get $10 off, 4 and get $15 off.

I think it does say only on regular prices. I used mine when there was that 20% off all Disney sale going on in January, and they just took the coupon off the regular prices. Or maybe they simply weren't doing the 20% off deal, because it wasn't advertised.

The $15.00 off 4 Disney DVD doesn't have to be regular priced items. The reason why the Ghobli (sp?) DVD didn't work is because Best Buy is stupid and doesn't code all the DVD's correctly. The Pirate of the Carribbean would not work either a couple of weeks ago; probably because they had it over in the action DVD's and not with the Disney DVD's.
I've had them price match Hunchback ND, Buzz Lightyear, Mulan and some others for $10.00 and still got the $15 off of the 4 I bought. Usually when they don't work with the coupon it's because the DVD is not your typical Disney animated movie and Best Buy is too stupid to figure out how to code their UPC codes.
I've used about 10 of these coupons in the last couple of weeks and although the cashiers are complete idiots; it's worth it to get my DVD's for between $7 and $12.
My personal favorite at Best Buy is how they have several DVD's mismarked. Some for $14.99 which always ring up at the cash lane for $22.99 and they have to override it everytime. And then they have others like Haunted Mansion for $22.99 and others which probably wouldn't sell at $9.99!

singerguy04 wrote:At the Wal-mart in my area they will always sell the new releases for like $5 cheaper the first week they are released then they go to normal price. For example... i got Mary Poppins 40th anniversary edition, Aladdin PE, and Mulan SE for about $15 each on the day they came out. I know the price stays that way for a lil while at least, but then after the first week of release or so the price will rise to about $20. So i'm going to get Bambi at midnight on monday, and i'm anticipating it'll be $15!!!
wal mart doesnt price their movie until the morning on tuesday. if you buy it monday at midnight you will pay regular price unless you take an ad with you to show them it's cheaper somewhere else.

Wondered the same question, and so far this is what I found.
Don't forget to first buy a Disney themed giftcard which has a coupon for $5 off 2, $10 off 3 and $15 off 4 DVDs. Then use the coupon and giftcard to buy the DVDs

I'm so proud of myself -
I got the following DVD's yesterday:
The Love Bug - 2 disc Set
The Parent Trap - 2 disc Set
Escape To Witch Mountain
The Apple Dumpling Gang
I counted up the "regular price" for these at my Best Buy store and it was $75 for the 4 of them.
With price match and Disney coupon, I got all 4 for only $24.96 + tax
