Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles. I don't own it but my friend does and he said it was pretty fun when played in multi-player mode. I have the soundtrack and it's really cute and crystal-y, though.

P.S. Anyone else as excited about Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children as I am!?

I forgot that Advent Childre's also coming out for the PSP. I'd rather get it on DVD and am not sure what perks there are (if any) to getting the movie for the PSP, though; especially if it's the only reason for getting the handheld... oO

For the people who haven't played the first game and are willing to buy a PS2 just for these games.

I played the first one and unless they have fixed things, the first one was almost unplayable:

1. The camera was TERRIBLE!!!! For example, there was this fight with Cerberus (obviusly he was huge) and you couldn't see beyond its feet.

2. There was no way to skip cinematics. I couldn't play anymore for this reason. There was 1 for example that lasted for at least 10-15 min. The fight lasted for almost that time, I died everytime just to have to wait for the cinematic to end again.

3. The game could be extremely difficult at times. To the point of frustration.

PS

From the 3 above I hope they've fixed the cinematic thing at least. But keep that in mind.

This was my biggest peeve about the game. TERRIBLE camera angles. It made jumping across pits and stuff so hard... Couldn't see where I was going and so I would keep falling. I really hope they fix the camera angles for KH2.

Minor note: Sony has no control over Kingdom Hearts. The two companies involved with the series are Disney (Of course!) and Square-Enix (Third Party Developer). Disney and Square-Enix can do whatever they see fit with their franchise, thus why Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories exsists on the Game Boy Advance.

There has been some updated news on Kingdom Hearts 2 :D

Hashimoto Talks Kingdom Hearts II
The famed Square Enix producer sheds a little light on the big-time sequel.

March 21, 2005

In a brief interview with the respected videogame trade publication Games Industry, Square Enix producer Shinji Hashimoto spoke out regarding the upcoming RPG sequel Kingdom Hearts II. Hashimoto, best known for his work on titles like Chrono Trigger, Star Ocean 3 and Final Fantasy X-2, is one of the key players surrounding Sora's latest adventure. Listed below is a brief excerpt:

Games Industry: What are the major changes we can expect to see in the new Kingdom Hearts game?

Shinji Hashimoto: One of the big changes you'll see when you play the game is to the camera - we've changed how that works. Also, the levels now have more events in them, with mini-games and so on. We're basically keeping the same concept and everything, but the changes are to the system of the game - we've made a massive block of changes that you will see.

GI: After the success of the first game, do you think Disney trust you more with their characters and worlds now in the second game?

Shinji: We definitely feel a new sense of trust from the Disney side. Based on that trust, we can make new developments - the kind of drastic changes, new discoveries and surprises that we couldn't before. So yes, look out for that!

GI: Kingdom Hearts 2 looks like it is a lot darker and more adventurous with its story and characters than the first game - is it aimed at a slightly older audience?

Shinji: We're still keeping a sort of balance, so that younger audiences can enjoy it as well. Certainly, at the top end, you'll see some serious scenes and so on - but that's not the main part. So, for example, even if the player is really young and doesn't understand the serious parts, they can still enjoy it - we've kept that sort of playful element in the game. There's some crossover with how Disney approaches things [to make their films appeal to all ages], of course, but we make the details quite different. We add more mysteries and so on, which appeal more to an older audience, maybe.

:D Hey Dan05, thanks for the news! This is so EXCITING! WHen does it get released?

I just recently started playing Kingdom Hearts this year and it is the BEST game I have ever played. I really wanted a Playstation2 mostly just for this game and it certainly has made getting a PS2 worth it. Though the bad thing is I never have time to play it because of school and everything and only during homeworkless weekends I get the chance. Right now, I just got to Halloweentown and its pretty creepy. Atlantica was a little hard for some battles because you couldn't summon anyone. Anyhow, I LOVE THIS GAME and I'm so glad that there is a sequel and some problems are fixed!!! More movies and mini games are good and the camera can get very annoying.

p.s. is the GBA version any good?

I may consider getting a PS2 just to own this!
The first KH was the only reason I own a PS2. DEFINITELY awaiting KH2.

I think why they don't release kingdom hearts on gamecube it's because the disc are smaller and not all the cinematics and stuff would fit on a gamecube disc but still I love gamecube I have one and also a ps2 and kingdom hearts 1 is actually the only game I ever finished 80 hours of game play I loved this game so much I just can't wait to play the 2 I will probably buy it on the day it came out just like I did last time it was 80$ but still it worth it me and my boyfriend finish it so it's a 50 cent by hour which is pretty cheap :)

No Problem :)

I found Atlantica hard also! Mostly because of Giant Ursula, she was a tough one to beat

As of now all that is known about the release date is that it will be out in 2005

IGN also stated...
