I got a 42'' Sony LCD rear projection HDTV from my grandma.

I feel like such a moron for the thread I started on the general discussion. sorry, and i thought i would be smart .
Uh well like i said before, i got Aladdin Platinum as a "not so secret santa" gift from my friend! it turns out we got each other the same thing! Oh well, i love the DVD, and i'm just glad that i own a copy of it, ahhaha.
For Christmas, I got the Mary Poppins DVD! I'm almost finsihed watching the bonus features but havent yet got a chance to watch the new restoration soon i will though
thats all i got for disney stuff, seems like evryone else got nice things too hope everyone's having a great holiday!

Oh! I wanted to get this for Christmas. Please tell me if it is good when you finish reading it. I've seen Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister on tv, but didn't get a chance to read the book, but the movie was great!

Anyhow, for Christmas I really lucked out! I got a bunch of great stuff!

~ A portable 7 in. widescreen DVD player! (though Escapay got one too and my parents said we could return it. I was thinking if I should trade it in for a PS2. Any advice?)

~ My sister (Jane McCoy) got me a wonderful find from her college bookstore : Disneyana and Inside the Dream: The Personal Story of Walt Disney (wrote by the people who wrote the Man Behind the Myth). They're both HUGE coffeetable books with lots of color photos! And she only paid like $6-7 for it! THANKS SIS! Oh yeah, and she also got me orange boxers with penguins on them . Last year she gave me some with chickens!

- Treasures: Mickey Mouse in Black and White Volume II. We went to Sam's club and I snuck it in the cart and said to my parents it would be my Christmas present so they wouldn't have to shop for me, but...I also got two more Treasures: what luck! I was totally not expecting it! I felt the wrapped package and knew they were Treasures. I figured it was MMC or Pluto or OTFL or TL, but it was Disneyland USA and Behind the Scenes at the Walt Disney Studio!!!!

I got many of the things that I wanted but I really got a lot of stuff which is sitting on my bedroom floor because I have no place to put it. I have completely filled the two DVD shelving units I have and as a result have no home for the new DVDs I received as presents. Oh well..

And for Three Kings Day (I'm so glad we celebrate Christmas twice) I'll be getting Resident Evil 4 and a chainsaw controller with that.

I never got much this year since I'm getting older, most of my immediate family I have spent christmas with have died in the past few years and those left aren't huge shoppers.

I made a christmas list year and got nothing on it but it was still an interesting Christmas. Actually almost every remaining Christmas tradition was broken this year.

The cellphone I was promised never came. Ah well.... it's been promised for two years. It goes on my list of things I want so badly and could afford to get myself but I never get.

Anyways enough of the sad stuff and now onto the gifts...

Christmas is more aobut family than just gifts but the fewer gifts do make me miss my family. I have a massive family but only the immediate family gives gifts and gathers for the holidays and well... a decade ago there were 12 of us. 4 remain!
