I don't know for sure, because I never bothered buying an edited DVD. But, it was probably digitally edited.

It's simply been cut, both picture and sound. They've cut it so that the song still seems reasonably seamless, but I guess you'll notice the splice if you're listening for it.
They've also digitally painted out the cigarette in all other scenes.
