If I already own the movie on VHS (IE: Gone With The Wind, Wizard of Oz, Beauty and the Beast), I buy it for both the movie and features. If I don't already own it on VHS (IE: West Side Story, The Rose, Peter Pan), I tend to buy it more for the movie, even if it does have some nice bonus features. (Like West Side Story.)

I tend to watch some features from a select group of DVDs over and over.

But I guess I won a point here: almost no one has mentioned the DVD Rom extras and nobody have told me if they've seen all the extras in both extended editions for The Lord of the Rings.

I've seen all of the video features for both EE's, but I haven't gone through the galleries, and I've only listened to the filmmaker and cast commentaries for both (the technical commentaries don't really interest me, but I may give them a listen one day).
I've seen all the galleries, watched all the videos and listened to all four commentaries on both editions.(whew am I tired. ) That said I will never listen to the technical commentaries EVER again as they made me want to shoot myself in the eye they were so boring. However I have listened to the director commentary a number of times and I even pop in on for a few scenes when watching the movie. a good commentary can be just as entertaining as the movie. I think probably none of us want the exact same things in our bonus features cuz each of us has expressed a preference for certain things. Maybe we can also make a list of bonus features that were so good we watch them almost as often as the movie. a couple of mine are the "flebee" reel on the Bugs Life Collectors Edition.,The commentary on Superman the movie,(Theres an argument that the director and writer have about the ending that cracks me up every time I listen to it) and the Will Farrell MTV matrix parody on the Matrix Reloaded Disc. :)
