Oh no, here we go again

. Another studio attempting to revive a cartoon classic for a whole new generation. I just hope they do not ruin it by adding bathroom humor like they did to Garfield.

Ok...... I think Underdog looks more true to the original cartoon than this does to Alvin and the Chipmunks..... I mean they look horrible... They are nothing original except maybe the A on Alvin's shirt... And Simon... I thought he was a scientific genius..... Now he looks like a Rapper wanna be... And don't get me started on how they re-did Theodore....

I don't think that is what they will look like in the movie. Maybe they redressed them just for the movie poster to get people hyped up for it. Or that really is what they look like in the film...

I only hope they will look different in the movie. When did the Chipmunks turn into bad-boy hip-hoppers?

Oh lord.
If there was ever a time to boycott a movie.
I think this is it.

Whether or not the Chipmunks would be dressed in the clothing they're wearing in the poster or if they were wearing punk rock clothing, it's the fact that Sony (?) has completely changed the Chipmunks from what we all grew up with.

There is no need for a comment like that, especially when there's nothing about the quoted comment that suggests a sentiment to which your remark has any relevance.

Yeah, I saw this yesterday, and I agree that it looks terrible. I mean, if any of the chipmunks were to dress like that for anything, it would probably just be Alvin, and even then, it would probably just be some wierd phase he's going through. But Simon and Theodore? C'mon. Not only do they not even resemble their normal designs, but it goes against their personalities. Simon's a bookworm genius kid; he wouldn't get all rapper-ish unless Alvin tricked him into it.
If it weren't for the fact that Ross Bagdasarian Jr. and Janice Karman were reprising their roles as Alvin, Simon, and Theodore, I probably would have completely given up on this movie.

PFFFFFFFFFFFFFT!!!!
Wow, PapiBear, now I know for a fact that you're completely insane. It's fine that you've created a million threads to turn everyones words around, but now you've resorted to going into other threads taking things that in no way, shape, or form have anything to do with your "cause". Did you see me mention ANYTHING about hip-hop, AT ALL?! No. I was referring to the fact that they look so far off from their original look and as disneyboy20022 said, the only thing that looks the same is:

What is wrong with you guys?!?! I can't wait for this one! Just think, another big blockbuster, over budget CGI influenced film that ruins our beloved childhood memories! I can't wait to get traumatized by hip-hop-getting-jiggy-with-it-chipmunks!

No Chipettes. I can't decide if that's a good thing or a bad thing -- I suppose I'll have to find out more about the movie itself before deciding.

They will probably have the Chipettes at the end, as a way to go into a sequel.

Mmm, perhaps.
Eeek -- I don't want my darling beloved Jeanette to be destroyed. (As a little girl, I was Jeanette, at least to a degree.)

Ten bucks says the Chipettes come in at the end or are introduced in the sequel.

Its the Darvocet I am on for a major toothache. It makes me giddy and humorous. I shall have to make sure I am on that before I try out for next years Last Comic Standing

Ha ha! I beat ya to making that claim!

The Chipettes will probably be emo since the Chipmunks are hip-hop.
