Brother Bear is another very underrated film, I don't get why a lot of people hate it.

I personally don't like it for its very abrupt ending. The friggin' bear takes a life changing decision in a matter of seconds, I wasn't too crazy about that. Everything before that was good though. I don't hate it, I just hate the fact that it could have been great.

Hi!
the fox and the hound.
I kow than it may not be the best disney movie, but i like because the theme of friendship than is spoken on this movie is a serious one, the relations between two diferent people(or animals on this movie)
if this be a LA movie, I think than would be about a Palestin an a Jewish kids or a Us kid and an imigrant kid

We've seen a similar type of thread before, which also includes overrated Disney films (
http://www.ultimatedisney.com/forum/vie ... sc&start=0).
In my opinion, the most underrated Disney animated classic is
The Hunchback of Notre Dame. Terrific film, I must say.

I liked the ending of Brother Bear. Though it is rather spontaneous, (white b/c of spoilers. Highlight to read)
it showed that Kenai lived up to his totem of love. He didn't want to leave Koda behind and knew that with the death of his mother he should take the role as his brother.

Hi!
in fact, if you have seen all disney movies, it have been more spontaneous the death of koda and Kenai, or Kenai adopting koda(but kenai in human form), or even kenai and koda turned on humans and koda whit a little spirit of Kenai´s oldest brother(the one with eagle totem)

D'oh! I should've voted for Treasure Planet...Oh, well. I voted for Hunchback of Notre Dame since I love that movie, but Treasure Planet being my second favorite Disney movie and all...I wish I had voted for that one.

The Aristocats because it's my favorite of the bunch. Probably because I love musicals, and that is a musical. I also love The Great Mouse Detective, well at least I did when I was little.

The Hunchback of Notre Dame I saw to many times, and even then I didn't care for it. Treasure Planet was ok, it didn't really stick with me.

Pocahontas definately. People fail to see the artisitc highs of this film that is comedically low. Sure, I don't like how Katzenberg, or any CEO for that matter, can manipulate a film to come out a certain way, but in the case, something totally beautiful and histrionic came out.

Mulan is by no means underrated. Outside of the "Fab 4", it was the highest grossing animated musical of the 90's, and many film historians feels that it saved Disney from a creative slump. Treasure Planet is a really good film, however, it's not as great as some people on this forum make it out to be. It deserved the Academy Award nomination, but it no way whatsoever would I have even let it touch the actual trophy for that year! Simply put: it was a tough bid to sell, even for Disney.

I'd say Pocahontas and The Aristocats
