Ok, the first series of auditions are over. The only films of those originally listed in the auditions to make the cut are:

Reluctant Dragon
Victory Through Air Power
Song of the South
So Dear To My Heart
Treasure Island
Davy Crockett, King of the Wild Frontier
Davy Crockett and the River Pirates
The Sign of Zorro
In Search of the Castaways
The Incredible Journey
The Ugly Dachshund
The Gnome-Mobile
Blackbeard's Ghost
Now You See Him, Now You Don't
The Strongest Man in the World

Stay tuned for the next round of auditions, which I'll post here in just a little while (for some reason, the recent live action page seems to not be working).

This continues the first steps of what promises to be a rather industrious game: Live Action Survivor-- by far our biggest Survivor game yet! To kick things off, we're holding the Auditions Round (just like the contestants of Survivor :P), which we normally skip. This is the second of the two rounds of auditions.

Here's how it works: Below is a list of the first of two sets of films that are 'auditioning.' A select number of the most well-known live action films were given a 'by' right into the first round. These films all debuted after 1979. (see the complete list here. Just post the movies from this list that you have not seen. (It might help to copy & paste the link and then delete the films that you have seen). Once 10 people have listed a film, it will be disqualified.

All posts must be made by 11:59 pm (eastern time) on Friday, July 2nd.

I'll be out of town when this ends, so the game will just go on a brief hiatus until sometime in the 2nd week of July. At that time, the actual game will begin. Thanks for your patience.

As for how the game will proceed from there, I have a pretty good plan (or so I think, lol)... just stay tuned. :P

Can't believe how many of the recent ones I've seen... Aaron: may I ask where 101 Dalmatians is, as you have the sequel. And where's stuff like Jungle 2 Jungle, The Santa Clause.....oh, wait a minute, are these the obvious films that skip this process? Sorry about that, if they are.

Yep, that's why they aren't listed. 101 Dalmatians was a big hit and one that I assume enough people have seen to warrant a skip for it. As a general (though not stead-fast) rule, I figure that any film that was successful enough to warrant a sequel and isn't too old (there aren't too many of these) will probably have been seen, but that doesn't necessarily mean they will have seen the sequel... more would have seen the first than the second, ya folla? I did debate with myself on that particular one, though, but with this many movies, the more that are subjected to the audition, the better. Make sense?

Edit: Ditto for White Fang. Geez, what was I thinking?
