MMBoy is right: Jump 5 is just sensationally stupid!!!!! I don't know where Disney gets the nerve to take the "modern equivalent to When You Wish Upon a Star" (as people call it) and reduce it to nothing more than a useless cover sung by some American Idol rejects. Sorry to some of you who may like Jump 5, but they ruined my favourite song when they sang "Beauty and the Beast"!!!!!
And about the new "Once Upon a Dream" music video by no secrets, I hope that's a joke, or else it will turn out worse than "BatB" by Jump 5: "OUaD" was adapted from Tchaikovsky, and to have it become just another mindless teen/pop cover is terrible.
I know I'm a teen and I'm supposed to like that sort of music, but I can't understand why Disney allows its classic songs to be ruined this way. On the DisneyMania CD (which is a collection of these thin covers), there's the tagline that says "Today's hottest superstars sing Disney...their way!" What I want to know is, "Why let them?"

I heard some of this, and it is just plain stupid. "WHY?" is right.

I don't mind all the remakes: I like the ones by the real singers like Celine Dion and Peabo Bryson's "Beauty and the Beast" or Peabo Bryson and Regina Bell's "A Whole New World", but why have all these classic songs remade by pop wannabe's? I know I keep asking this but, WHY?????

The reason for all the pop wannabe covers is because they are artists from Disney's recording label. So its all about cross promotion. I tend not to watch any of those music video things they put on the discs.

I always watch these music videos, if not on the VHS, then on the commercial breaks on Canada's Family Channel, just to give them a chance. I mean, who knows? Maybe one will end up being really great. But after watching the "Beauty and the Beast" music video by Jump 5 (yes: who?), even my 11 year-old sister who's a big fan of "that kind of music" said empathetically, "Ooh, that sucks!"

oh that is pathetic when the target audience thinks it sucks! lol i like the remake of as long as there is christmas by PLAY that was a decent one. but the rest are just a waste of film and time.

A lot of people have said that PLAY's version of "As Long as..." was good, but I didn't see the new SE version of Enchanted X'mas, and I haven't found any place on the Disney Records site where I could here it.

I thought I was the only one who liked the "As Long As There's Christmas" remake by Play. It was kinda nice.
But the "Beauty and the Beast" by Play 5 sucks!!!! How dare did they botch the wonderful original song?!!
What's next? "A Whole New World" by Eminen?!

it's Konami's Dance Dance Revolution (the Dancing game famous for playing on a Dance Mat) but with Disney tunes. Re-Mixed Disney tunes. Re-Mixed,
Euro-pop Disney tunes.
You really don't want to see it, based on your past comments (but I like it! Then again, I live in Sequel-Land, where everything is A-OK!)

-Widescreen-to-Fullscreen Comparison
Anyone else absolutely thrilled about this? I know they've done printed stuff before, but this should really be nice.
I also like the newer cover art a little better.
This is, in my opinion, one of the best looking films in history and can't wait to own it on DVD (especially considering I've never seen it in 2.35).

It is great, and it really hammers down the difference since so much is cut out. The one screenshot of this feature I posted is a good example.
