Too bad "Home On The Range", which is the company's last hand-drawn film, is shaping out to be a flop in the measures of "Treasure Planet".
$47 million... I really hope "Chicken Little" will be as good as the Disney/Pixar films, or else we are definitely entering a new dark age (for me, we're not in such a bad period, considering a certain genre still makes a lot of money - CGI films).

No is does not. It could've been bad publicity (HOTR), poor storyline (TP), or too high of expectations (Hunchback). There's lots of factors to calculate into poor revenues.

I do think Disney is in a black hole right now. Just because certain movies were successful, doesn't mean they're doing something wrong. And, for sure, as all things do, we will see a strong rebirth (the 50s, the 60's, the 90's). Whether or not Chicken Little starts that rebirth will be something I'm sure we'll all be watching quite closely: As Walt himself put it, "Nobody likes a chicken".

I thought the Incredibles trailer was awesome! Yet again Pixar's proven they can do the impossible: Realistic fur (MI), Realistic Water (Nemo), and now Realistic People (to a certain degree). Brad Bird is a genius! Can't wait!

P.S.: Iron Giant is a Warner Bros movie, not Disney.

I'd reverse those two... bad publicity for TP, too weak a storyline for HOTR.

I agree with you, yoda_four, but I don't think they gave too high expectations for Hunchback; I think they gave too much expectations for Pocahontas and Atlantis.

Aaron, disneychris04: I was just thinking movies off the top of my head. But, now that I think of it, your changes work much better anyway!

Oh yeah, that's going to be one huge movie. Great trailer, that's going to get everybody interested. I foresee major bucks being separated from wallets.

i saw the trailer for the incredibles before shrek 2 and it really got me excited. i was a little worried after just seeing the teaser of the guy trying to put on his pants.

Pixar seems to have very good trailers, but very poor teasers. Monsters, Chicken Little, and The Incredibles were all pretty crappy, imo. I seem to remember not being crazy over Nemo's, either. I don't recall the shorts for the others.

I've actually reeally enjoyed all the Pixar teasers. Well Finding Nemo's was a little flat. But Chicken Little isn't Pixar.

Geez, now I feel dumb. I knew that, of course, but was just lumping together the bad teasers and wasn't really clear.

That new trailer-type-thing is hilarious! Is that gonna be on TV?

When I was at Shrek 2 over the weekend, the Incredibles trailer got about as many laughs as some of the funnier jokes in Shrek. The parts with Samuel L Jackson are priceless. Looks like Pixar is about to have another hit.

apparently when i saw Shrek 2, the trailer wasnt there. but i saw the trailer on the website and man it was very hilarious. i hope PIXAR can get away with a G rating for this film. if PIXAR gets a PG rating for this film, then you wont expect a better box office gross than Finding Nemo.

Last night I finally made it to go and see "Home on the Range" for $2. I had missed it the first time it came thru our theatere because I had alot of things going on. So when I saw it was back in the theater for the $2 movie I decided I better go see it last night. Whichh by the way I thought the movie was awesome. Very Well done with a cute story! But I was quite surprised to get to see the first Incredibles trailer before it because I don't rember anyone ever mentioing that a trailer for Incredibles had been released I have seen the Teaser alot of times but the Trailer for the movie was awesome I can't wait for it to come out. In case anyone else had not seen the trailer yet I put a link on the top of this post to the movie site with the trailer. It is going to be a wicked awesome movie!

I saw the Trailer of The Incredibles when I saw Spider-Man 2 and Shrek 2 at the theatre last month. It was amazing and cool best Pixar work since Toy Story 2!!!!
I must see it this November.... I like it very, very much it had action, comedy and adventure what more would you want.

I didn't think the teaser was weak, when I saw Home on the Range last week that was the only teaser where people were actually laughing, I even heard some people say 'Gotta see that one". Didn't see the trailer in theatres yet.

I can't find who posted it, but I wasn't aware that HOTR was the last traditionaly animated movie. I'm not sure if it's true, but if it is, that sucks! I hated HOTR! (i'm am now getting ready for a whole bunch of posts yelling at me from people here who loved it)

Yep, Home on the Range is currently the final traditionally animated AC (doesn't apply to DisneyToon movies or DTVs), but of course, they can always be changed in the future. As for Home on the Range, I think you'll find that most thought it was a decent film, but certainly didn't love it, either. That's where I stand as well.
