I bought the Disney Treasures DVD set from Costco too, but when the new wave of Disney Treasures DVDs come out on May 18th, I will be getting those in the tins, as I don't want to see if or when they will release another boxed set. Besides, ya can't beat CDN$23.83 at Wal-Mart. The set that I bought from Costco averaged out to $23 a piece anyways.

That's right, they are still at the Disney Movie Club. You do have to buy the sets together, Wave 1 as a set and Wave 2 as a set. A little over $200 but you do get all of them, and that would give you an extra one of those that you already do have to sell or trade. If you go look on the website, you have to go to the Multi-packs section to see them
Hi,
please would you give us a link of where we can find them on the
Disney Movie Club
I tried looking, but am new to that site so am also clueless
thanks

Also there is a whole section of the forum for Disney Movie Club.

They are located in the multipacks section of the menu.

thanks for the link but it must be for just members...
and as I live in Europe it's no good
I have a US address of a friend, but no phone number, so cannot sign up either!
Plus it looks like they're no longer sale on that site either!
never mind
cheers

I just ordered all four of them from Costco at $19.99 each. With the shipping that will probably come out as a wash, but just was letting you all know that you can pre-order them there. They show that they come with the tin as well...I figured if they really 'retail' at $32.99 that was a good deal.

For you Candians here

,
Did/Does regualr retail stores like Future Shop, A&B Sound, Best Buy actually carry them instore? Would you recommend buying them online or instore? Is it more likely that an wholesale like Costco would carry more copies instore than electronics retail like Future Shop?
Trying to get advice to start my Treasures collection.
Thanks in advance!

Don't have a Best Buy, but A&B and Future Shop will have plenty of the new wave in stock when they're released. They still have 2 copies of the Disney Studios tin at my local store.
I still kick myself, because I walked by a clearance display at A&B a couple of years ago, with about 30 of the tins, all various titles, for about $20 *Canadian* each. That's about $13 US, for Mickey, Symphonies, etc. I didn't buy any, because I already owned the ones I wanted. I should have scooped up the whole batch for resale.
Oh well, hopefully those who actually needed them got them for a good price.

Future Shop will definitely carry them on the 18th, that's your best bet. They won't be on shelves for long though, so I suggest heading out the day of their release if you plan on going this route.

Dammit! If they’re going to be released individually without tins I should not have opened mine! I should have sold the tins and got $$$ for it then buy the single sets

By the way, thanks for the offer, Stashone. That's very kind of you. However, I ended up with the Costco set, and decided not to pursue collecting the original tins. Now I've got all 7, and have more hours of viewing than I can handle! Plus I preordered the next 4 from Amazon, which I am also looking forward to! I really like this Treasures series.

By the way does the Costco set come without the booklets and stuff?

Snowbot, will you be selling the Mickey Mouse in Living Color Volume 1 Tin version now that you have the Costco set?

DisneyVillains - I put it up for sale on Amazon on Sunday, and I was about to post the link on here when I discovered that it had been sold earlier today. Sorry! (It sold for $90).
Class316 - Yes, the Costco set comes with the booklets, but no tins of course and none of the postcard-sized lithographs. However, I am still very pleased with the purchase of course, and don't have enough time in the day to watch all this great material! I look forward to future Treasures releases. Oh, and the Costco set is no longer available through Costco, unless you chance upon it on a store's shelf. I purchased mine through a private seller on E-Bay.

Snowbot, thanks for the reply. It is good that you made that much off of the dvd. I will just continue my search...

Treasures on disney website

I have found that all seven Treasures are for sale at the Disney Movie Club website, the first four together and the second three are together as well. They include the tins and all. You have to pay full price but for about $220 that isn't bad to have the whole set in the original tins. If you don't care about the tins the set that sold at Costco will soon be available at the disneystore.com. They have a picture of it on the "Coming Soon" section, but it is not available for pre-order or anything yet.
Sorry if I repeated what others had already said.

If you want MM ILC or SS get the non-US versions. They're much cheaper and the SS in non-US versions has the original Jewish salesman.
