I thought it was pretty cute. I hope they do more of them with rotating rosters. I'm really into princesses interacting with each other

I overall really enjoyed this. Everything Disney thought they were accomplishing with the Wrecked Princesses, they actually pulled off here. Spoilers to follow.

I really liked pitting the princesses against Gaston specifically because of how it outlined the princess as combatants of toxic masculinity.

I couldn't help but notice that the more recent the princess, the more accurate they felt to their appearance in their animated films. Tiana, Rapunzel, and Moana felt mostly on brand where Ariel's spunk was turned up to like 11 and Snow White was just a full on parody of herself.

Just the same, I felt like the special was mostly a celebration of the franchise. The scene in the thorn maze where each of the princesses have their moment where they come into their own felt like the kind of empowerment I wish I saw more often in, say, the LA remakes. Hearing Snow White in particular take such pride in being a survivor, especially in the context of Zegler dunking on the animated film, was so gratifying.

Somethings that did stick out to me ...

It is kind of weird that for all the homages and easter eggs in this film, we never once heard any of the princesses make reference to any of their princes. Like, we didn't even get a throwaway line from Ariel about how Eric was teaching her about human things. It's almost like this special was trying to reimagine a version of the princesses WITHOUT their respective love interests, which is where it started to lose me.

The Princesses winning over Maleficent also fell kinda flat for me, mostly in how it reminded me of that Angelina Jolie fiasco. I don't think it even had the feminist lean about sisterhood they were reaching for (again, kinda in line with that Angelina Jolie fiasco) since we didn't even see Maleficent outside of her dragon form. Of all the empowering heroic touchstones they were going for, I'm surprised they didn't just let the princesses slay the dragon and leave it at that. It would have been much stronger if they had just played it straight. Weird ...

But all around I thought this was a really fun way to give the princesses the team up we've been gunning for. I hope it leads to more creative cross-overs between the princesses as well as other Disney properties.

I thought it was very enjoyable. I loved how they made Snow White a badass, and I especially enjoyed her "I have an axe" line   I also enjoyed her interaction with the Magic Mirror.

It was cute. I thought Snow White was weird though, didn't really feel like her at all. Sort of like the pink horse in My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic, with the way they paired the energetic happiness with zaniness.

I thought it was awful, but it was geared toward a younger crowd.

I watched this when it came out. I thought it was cute. I’d be down for more projects like this.

Exciting! I hope Paige O’Hara is back, and I’m curious to see who the new voice of Ursula is. I think they used the new voice actor for Disney Hollywood Studios’ new TLM stage show.

I enjoyed the first one they did some years back, so I'm glad they're giving it another go.

And I'm especially grateful they're expanding the cast. I think it'll be interesting seeing whether or not they can pull off fleshing out the other two princesses from Walt's age or if just becomes too parodic.

Not impressed by the Pat Carroll replacement, we'll see. I know Kenneth Mars' and Samuel Wright's replacements have both been really terrible over the years though... I just thought they'd do better with Ursula considering she's a big character as far as merch, parks, and so on goes. I've mostly liked the replacement for Maleficent and Tremaine, for example. Weird, I think the same voice actress also played the Queen.

I expected a bit higher quality, just based on other lego specials. And I'm not just talking about the visuals and voices, the writing itself doesn't seem as witty.

Yeah, I had similar thoughts. It might play better in execution, but in the trailer a lot of these jokes felt off the shelf.

That's not to say that like other Lego specials have had just Shakespearean writing, but they filled a need.
