2) "The Monkey's Uncle" (The Monkey's Uncle) I always listen to this song when I am down or when I am sad and it cheers me up!

3) "For Now, For Always" (The Parent Trap) When I was little I would listen to Maureen O' Hara singing this song all of the time on a LP Soundtrack that I bought of The Parent Trap.

4) "Candle on the Water" (Pete's Dragon) A song to listen to when you want to listen to a song that isn't to happy!

5) "The Bear Necessities" (The Jungle Book) A great song to listen to it always makes you really happy when you here Baloo bouncing out the tune!

6) "Circle of Life" (The Lion King) The best song! The best version is the Music Video on the Lion King Special Edition 2 Disc DVD set the DIsney Channel stars really do this song proud!

7) "Little Black Rain Cloud" (The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh) Always a fun little song!

"Old Yeller Theme Song" (Old Yeller) A great little song that all of us Old Yeller fans have learned to love!

Here is my rank of the songs:

1. "Part of Your World" (The Little Mermaid) - This is one of the first Disney songs that I can remember as a kid. In this sequence, one can see the true yearning that Ariel has for the human world. It is really a great piece of music that has a great animated sequence.
2. "God Help the Outcasts" (The Hunchback of Notre Dame) - This is perhaps one of the greatest musical sequences ever in a Disney film. The scene where Esmerelda is passing through the candles is just amazing and the choir in the background truly brings the song to life. You can really feel the emotions of Esmerelda in the song, as the viewer gets to see her true character for the first time.
3. "Reflection" (Mulan)- Another classic song from Disney. The viewer can really see the desire Mulan has to be herself while at the same time pleasing her family.
4. "Zero to Hero" (Hercules) - Great fast paced song with a "Gospel feel" that can be found throughout all of Hercules.

Hi there,

This is such a cruel survey. What songs are people's favorite has a lot to do with age (guilty at 40) and which movies you've seen, as musical styles have evolved.

Also very important is watching a song in context in the film. Since I have not seen any Disney movies in the past decade except for Emperor's New Groove, I wish to watch Hercules, Mulan, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Lilo & Stich, Brother Bear, Aladdin (haven't seen this since release) and perhaps Pocahontas before finalizing my list. I doubt I'll catch Home on the Range beforehand.

However, there are probably 5 (at least) songs I wish were on the list that I would have voted for:

1. It's a Small World (I'm such a dreamer. I've loved this song from my youth. I'm always a sucker for this ride at Disney World - it's a beautiful song).
2. Run Llama Run (OK - it only has 3 words and only in the recording but not in the movie - The Emperor's New Groove - but it swings and accompanies the hilarious map chase sequence as well as End Credits)
3. Yodel-Adle-Eedle-Idle-Oo (Home on the Range - Have only heard a clip from the Disney web site - am a sucker for yodeling - sounds hilarious)
4. Bibbidi-bobbidi-boo (can't believe this song from Cinderella didn't make the list)
5. Others: Step in Time (more dancing than song from Mary Poppins); Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf; Mickey Mouse March

The final list of 50 for me will probably follow in 2 weeks.
