She looked like she could have even a decade ago. She has not aged well.

Yeah Lohan would only be like 5 years younger than Jamie Lee Curtis when they started filming, so it would work

The only Freaky Friday I recognize is the Barbara Harris/Jodie Foster original from 1977.
I also saw this one to compare, and the 2003 one is way more character driven and the interactions are more fun and interesting IMO. I would really recommend it, but its your decision of course

Thanks, Disneynerd! I respect your opinion, but I stick to the classics.... the Barbara Harris Friday, the Hayley Mills Pollyanna, Parent Trap and That Darn Cat. I have never encountered a remake of a Disney film that I’ve liked better than the original. I’m happy though, for those who do enjoy the remakes...
I must also compliment you on always being respectful to those with whom you disagree.

What about Robin Hood?

Flubber I never saw because remakes don’t interest me. I love The Absent-minded Professor from 1961 and Son of Flubber from 1963.
The Adventures of Robin Hood 1938
The Story of Robin Hood 1952
Robin Hood 1973
I love all 3.

Thank you Carolinakid! Thats really kind of you.

I just dont wanna be mean and my opinion always slightly changes over the years, so maybe i might agree with people i disagree with and the other way around. I mean if I was able to love Ralph Breaks the Internet back in 2018, anything is possible.

The 1938 and 1952 Robin Hoods are amazing. The cartoon is so lackluster and lacking in substance.
Also I agree with what was said about the original Freaky Friday. THe Jodie Foster one actually isn't all that great. Part of hte problem is that they never let Jodie and her mom share screentime together after the body switch. They don't even have any dialogues together until the ending when they switch back. The Lindsay Lohan one is actually a lot better because the film hinges on mother and daughter actually interacting.
The better Disney Jodie Foster movie is Candleshoe, which is basically an updated version of Anastasia. Has a better cast as well with David Niven and Helen Hayes whereas Freaky Friday really only has Jodie...

Let's hope it's better than Hocus Pocus 2. Honestly, I don't trust Disney to do justice to legacy properties.

Ok i didnt expect 4 people to get body swapped here. I guess thats the "big" conflict im invested in:
...which Tess (as Lily) voices concerns that Anna is set to move away from her to London to be with her new husband."
What a shame that Lohans and LeeCurtis characters dont
really need to learn something here, i think it could have worked better if LeeCurtis character was conflicted with her daughters husband and they both might swap places idk, but 4 people swapped seems fun enough

How interesting this is being released to theaters. This seems like the kind of project that, 2 or 3 years ago, would have definitely gone direct to Disney+. Signs that Disney’s theatrical and streaming strategies are changing? Disney, if you’re bringing mid-budget movies back to cinemas, I need you to pull out all the stops it takes to get Julie Andrews back for Princess Diaries III!!!
This is a pretty big deal for Lohan’s career, too. She hasn’t headlined a wide theatrical release in more than 10 years. Happy that her career, and health, seem to be in much better places than before. And Jamie Lee Curtis continues to dominate with her late career renaissance (I know her Oscar win was sort of controversial, but I loved that movie and enjoyed her performance— I thought it was deserved). I have not watched the 2003 movie maybe since I was a child, but I remember liking it a lot and wearing out the VHS tape.

This will do incredibly well. And gotta admit, I’m looking forward to it.
So nice to see Lindsay in a good place. I hope she grabs this opportunity and delivers a great performance.

They have now indeed hired an official show runner and directors for the Harry Potter TV show (man that’s so painful to even say and think about!
It’s also Unfortunately interesting, because you may have heard Eddie Murphy reconfirm that they are indeed Doing a fifth Shrek, And a donkey spin off that’s gonna come out afterwards, that could very well be released in 2026, which I realize my friends is going to be one of the biggest movie years ever that’s unfortunately ruined by the plan release date of this planned series, And what’s “interesting” about this is that you may remember over a year ago that literally the same day that Eddie Murphy first talked about the donkey spinoff is also when they more officially confirmed moving forward with this, so they are intertwined in someway, being an opposite ends of the spectrum of continuing a franchise one with the original actors/Continuity and one without!Another thing with this that I literally just realized is, and I apologize if this is hard to follow, but with the second Moana coming out, being reworked from what was originally a series, you may have possibly heard that many Disney fans are wondering if the Tianna Disney+ series is gonna be reworked into the second Princess and the frog movie once the second Moana does so well, also especially when you consider of course Tianas bayou adventure and everything else it’s coming out with that. Well, do you think that if the lunatics at WB see this go so well, will they try to possibly rework this show into a new theatrical movie for Harry Potter, which will also help them completely eradicate the original series which will also maybe even help them with the whole issues that the theme parks are going to run into with the original continuity/version?
There is a glimmer of hope that Might reverse this as you may have also heard that the second freaky Friday is indeed going to be theatrically released and coming out next year, so like I sang about last year, Maybe if it does well it might also help them reconsider that? Either way, we must make sure that the second freaky Friday does really well and again do whatever we can to try to stop this show (yes it’s so painful for me to literally acknowledge this!!!!) From happening
