The series is going to have six episodes.
The studio recently announced it was in production on the 6-part animated series Iwájú for Disney Animation & Kugali.

There will be documentary special about the series produced by ABC News Studios.
Untitled Iwájú Documentary (Disney+): From the team behind the hit Disney+ series “Into the Unknown: Making Frozen 2” comes a documentary about the first-of-its-kind collaboration between Pan-African comic book company Kugali and the century-old Walt Disney Animation Studios as they create the upcoming animated series “Iwájú.”

It'll be interesting to see how the collaboration between the two companies was.

Wow. This doesn't look Disney at all. The characters look so crude. The quality seems similar to that of a preschool show, not something WDAS would produce. More proof this collaboration never should have happened.

Yeah, it looks surprisingly bad for a WDAS collaboration and not Disney at all, as you said. I'm quite disappointed.

Agreed. They look too round. There`s nothing about their looks that looks Disney at all.

It looks like a TV show for children younger than 5 years old or for people in a coma.

This makes Chicken Little look like Sleeping Beauty.
Hard pass.

Wow is right. Look at the concept art in the first post of this thread. And then the finished product looks like this... What an incredible fail.

The character designs are wholly uninspired.
But people, they are not incompetent!
To read the above comments you'd think one's eyes would spontaneously combust on looking at that cursed JPEG image.

The lizard/salamander looks exactly like Bruni from Frozen II.

Not only the characrers look so much worse compared to the concept art, they've been aged down as well. I hope the rumor that WDAS is planning to do a movie with this studio isn't true. I dread at the idea of what it'll look like.

Perhaps that has something to do with
Strange World's awful designs. WDAS wanted to slowly make their own designs look uglier so when they work with this studio it doesn't feel out of place.

I mean yeah, that’s the point, it’s not supposed to look Disney at all. It’s supposed to look unique.

Wasn't this show supposed to be released this year? Isn't it strange that they haven't released anything since D23? They don't even have a presentation at Annecy.

Since this is a limited series, it’ll probably be an all-at-once drop.
