You're right. I must have missed that. So, it is a Disney Channel original movie, after all. That makes more sense.

A Cinderella adaptation I loved as a kid was an animated special about a boy who the fairy godmother accidentally turns into a gorilla and she also casts a spell to give his cat the ability to talk. And his brothers are fitness-obsessed muscle men. So any variation on Cinderella, no matter how absurd sounding, doesn't elicit a strong reaction from me.

The garbage that passes as "content" these days is both embarrassing and alarming.

Something about that picture made me think of Holes.

The trailer is being savagely ripped apart on social media. It actually trended on Twitter because of how many people were mocking it. It was particularly derided by Black people who accused the executives who greenlit this of being clueless and out of touch. It's ironic how Disney's attempt to pander to the Black community this time around blew up in their face.

The designing thing reminds me of the Sony Cinderella. This looks less bad than I feared but, yeah, bad.

Bad song. Also a movie about a boy with magical flying shoes would probably be more interesting than what we are getting.

I see they wanted to make the songs as bad as the movie. At least, they're consistent.
