I'm glad this will be a sequel! However, it seems like Mike and Sully won't be the central characters. They'll probably be the 'celebrities' of this world and will make appearances here and there. I'm not sure they'll even be main characters.

Logo and poster. Mike and Sully are recycled from the posters for the original film.

I like the logo, but they could've made a bigger effort with the poster. And I think the main character looked better in that first image.

Wow! Tylor Tuskmon went through a huge redesign and the plot actually takes place during the day when Monsters Inc turns to laughs. This show looks like it has potential to be fun and full of heart, can't wait for 2020 to roll around.

I really like how this is set after the factory starts using laugh power over scream power and how the two main characters are both recent MU graduates. I'm looking more forward to it now than I was before.

I am really happy Disney Plus is giving more Monsters Inc in a tv show form
Not only is better than if it was just straight up sequel because it doesn't have too live too the original. It also gives us more stories than just one

There a number of problems with doing a Monsters Inc sequel

Mick and Scully’s arks were already complete at the end of the first movie and James Coburn has died so that mostly leaves out the pssibility of Waternoose returning. So a spin off show is the better option !

If you recast Waternoose a number might think it was disrespectful to the league of James Coburn particular if the fans are die hard cinephiles.

Many other fans might the new voice is inferior or even downright unfitting.

It's good they are doing this instead of a movie sequel . mike and Sully character arcs are completed by the end of the first movie and you can't really use Waternoose again since James Coburn.

To recast Waternoose might be consired desrepectful to James Coburn or the new voice might sounded too derfinet.

Also a tv show as defrinet thing to a movie you i din't think there will be spm many copliants about this nieng inftror to the orginal Monsters Inc espacally since this has whole åroganist and klarley a new supporting cast withe monsters like s Val Little, Fritz( who seems to fil the e Waternoose postsion in this show), Duncan and Cutter.

Also none of the cast list for this show metions Steve Bucumi will he not retrun after all ?

'Monsters At Work' Coming to Disney+ in March? And, a Behind-The-Scenes SparkShorts Documentary in Development
https://www.pixarpost.com/2020/02/monst ... -2020.html
Along with the exciting documentary news, Monsters At Work, the upcoming Disney+ series, which takes place after Monsters, Inc. was also in the news last week. In a recent AdAge article (spotted by PixarsBiggestFan in the Pixar Post Forum), it was noted that Monsters At Work would begin airing "next month" on the platform.

The Super Bowl Advertising article was written on January 31 which would mean "next month" would be February — but, if this rumor is true, we believe that March would be more accurate (and may have been the intent of the article) — especially since Disney+ has already announced which titles are set to release in February.

The series has been pushed back to spring 2021, presumably because of the director change. Kat Good and Rob Gibbs were initially set to direct whereas now Stephen Anderson and Kaitlyn Ritter are directing.
Recently, Monsters at Work director, Stephen Anderson, spoke with the folks at the Without a Mouse podcast and shared that the highly anticipated animated series has been postponed for release until "Spring 2021" despite rumors that we could see the series as early as March of this year. Anderson also confirmed the series will have 10 episodes and will include the return of prior cast members from both Disney-Pixar’s Monsters Inc. and Monsters University.

I think they'll keep their previous logo as the main one and use this new one for things like merchandise. They just sent out crew gifts with the old logo.

I think you're right. It's what they also did for Monsters, Inc. They used the one with just the "M" in merchandise and as the logo of the factory in the movie.

By the way, that first crew gift you posted gives us our first look at the main character as he will appear in the series, right?

It's not our first look. They had a panel for the series at the D23 Expo in 2019 where they revealed it.

^Oh, OK. Thanks for the info. I remember there was a video of that panel, but I finally didn't watch it.
