There are many people who have friends, co-workers, loved ones, etc. who are gay that still have religious reasons against it. That doesn't necessarily mean they have a problem being around, working with, or loving those people. If they're truly Christian, they wouldn't anyway. Jesus worked among prostitutes and other people considered sinners. As long as she doesn't spew venom, I don't hate her. Of course I'm disappointed, but it is what it is.
Thinking it's a sin according to your religion isn't the same as hating someone or supporting laws that enact discrimination though. I don't know her politics.

Can I divert this topic a little bit? I was being random on the internet and found the information that Howard Ashman worked with Brazilian singer Cazuza. Sometimes he's credited as the writer of songs "O Tempo Não Para" and "Codinome Beija-Flor", and sometimes as producer of Cazuza's first album, "Exagerado". I looked for it on album inserts and Howard Ashman isn't credited in any of these songs, and neither on places such as ASCAP. It's just so random to attribute these songs to him. Does anyone know where this might have started?

Howard has been
submitted for Oscar consideration in the Best Documentary Feature category. Fingers crossed, it'll get nominated!

I hope there's a physical release as well.
Disney+ has acquired the worldwide distribution rights for the critically-acclaimed documentary Howard. Directed by Don Hahn (Beauty and the Beast), Howard is the untold story of Howard Ashman, the brilliant lyricist behind Disney classics like Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid and creator of musicals including Little Shop of Horrors. The film will stream exclusively on Disney+ in 2020.

How lovely! There’s very little announced original content for Disney+ that’s interested me, but this certainly does.

I don't like the poster. It looks cheap and makes Howard look like Mr. Rogers or something. The theatrical poster was much better. It's interesting that even though Disney didn't produce the documentary, they still branded it as Disney. Too bad they slept on other recent docs about Disney Legends such as Floyd Norman and Tyrus Wong.

Maybe it’s just me but I think the poster is misleading as the music notes suggest he was a composer not a lyricist...
Looks like a great documentary though!

I agree that the theatrical poster was better. Yes, it's a shame Disney didn't do the same with those two other documentaries. Maybe the fact that
Howard was produced by Don Hahn helped in this case. I'm sure it'll be a very interesting documentary, but probably very sad too.

I've recently watched the deleted scenes of Waking Sleeping Beauty and most of them were about Howard: his lecture, lising him and the recording of Part of Your World. I think these were the base of the Howard documentary.

I watched it now and it was great and emotional and sad. I recommend it.
