Huh, covers that don't make me want to gauge my eyes out. They're not great but compared to most other recent ones these are pretty good.

I'm glad I'm not alone there--even if it means Disney has been so awful with covers we've come to be grateful for the least effort.

I don't regret buying previous versions and not these. Sure, Pocahontas' Masterpiece cover is hideous, but at least I have the "IINKY" scene and I actually prefer the Mulan: SE cover to this one.

Yeah, def skipping these. I tripled dipped and purchased the digital copies when they were on sale lol. So what they do to the digital copies or add anything new to it, it will pour over anyway. So I'll be skipping these for sure. :D

Thought about importing this, but will now be skipping. Will not buy Pocahontas again before they include the "If I Never Knew You" special edition on the disc and/or release it in 4K Ultra HD.

Same goes for Mulan, Snow White, Beauty and the Beast and other Disney classics. Will not be buying any new release of either of those before Disney start rolling out the 4K Ultra HD editions.

Only exception would be if they decided to release new HD Blu-ray versions of movies like Beauty and the Beast/Cinderella and decide to include more accurate colors, or if they would include a decent amount of worthwhile new bonus material. But that's highly unlikely I guess, with perhaps Beauty and the Beast 25th Anniversary being the only exception.

I actually like the covers. They are simple and I like it. I think it's boring they always use the same Pocahontas' clip-art for her products, but I wouldn't call it hideous. I actually think she looks nice on this clip-art. It's just boring. And I think I would move Meeko to a different place on the cover, or perhaps use a different picture of him. Mulan's cover is perfectly fine for me. It's a little unfair though that she got a new clip-art and Pocahontas hasn't.

I hope so, Tangled and Brave covers are so boring.

I'll probably get Mulan for the digital copy and just to have a version without the sequel, but I have no interest in Pocahontas if it doesn't include the cut song and its reprise. I could have lived without the vaulted features because I already have the 2-disc DVD and those features would have probably been in standard definition anyway, but there's no excuse for not including the far superior extended cut.

yeah, i will probably purchase these simply because I did not have them on bluray already; and the major fact that they do not include those horrid sequels. I do not see a reason to double dip if you have them on blu already. Fingers are still crossed for the remaining package films and "The Black Cauldron".

I can't seem to find a discussion thread so I'm writing it here. Do you think they should have been more faithful to the original story and have Kocoum kill Thomas and then have John kill Kocoum? Or would it have been too much deaths in a Disney film? Which probably also explains why Kocoum is two characters combined. What do you think?

I was looking for a discussion thread for this film as well for its 25th Anniversary so I just used the 20th Anniversary page.

What do you mean be more faithful to the original story and have Kocoum kill Thomas? Kocoum existed in real life (he was Pocahontas' husband) but I don't remember Thomas being based off of anyone real.

I meant Romeo and Juliet. Sorry if I wasn't clear.

Oh, that makes more sense now. That would have been interesting but I think killing Thomas off would have made the film way darker because he is a youth and impressionable youth (and originally was even younger I think). Kocoum was okay to kill off because the film purposefully makes sure we never get to know him very well and only see him as an obstacle for Pocahontas and her dreams rather than a full-fledged character.
