I am getting the following on every PM & post I make:

What do I do about it... and are my posts going through?

The last couple of days I've been getting a '500 Internal Server Error' when trying to access the forum.

Posts are going through without any error messages today! Even on the Disney Discussion board!

Anyone else having this error when trying to post?

Seems like it's only happening with The Lion King Discussion thread.

Yes, that happens when you put more than three hyperlinks in a single post. I contacted the admin a long time ago about it but I guess he wasn't able to fix it.

Just insert the links you want without turning them into hyperlinks. So instead of this:

I finally figured out what was wrong. I changed different words and spelled out titles instead of just the letters until it finally went through. I finally found out that what was stopping the post going through was one word, and so I tried putting spaces between the letters. Something similar happened to me in The Happytime Murders thread. Strange.

That's really weird. I have no idea why that is happening. Ever since we changed servers there have been nothing but errors.

I tried replying to a PM, and when I hit "send," I got this message; I also got it when I hit the back button and hit "cancel":

It worked fine last night!

It probably had something to do with the content of your post. Did it contain a link? or the word "c.a.s.i.n.o"?

Nope, neither of those. Just talking about our dogs! I just tried again and got the same message...unless "glucoasmine" is a banned word. I just tried rephrasing things, in case the word "fear" or "crazy" were banned, but nope...

Maybe it has something to do with the tags. Were you using the [quote][/quote] tags or any of the other ones? Have you tried replicating the same message into a forum post to see if it can go through the system that way?

I think because I spelled "glucoasmine" wrong up top it allowed me to post here, so I think if I send it with that medicine name mispelled it may work... I'll write back. We can't put the names of doggy joint supplements in our posts, guys!

*edit* Yes, that was exactly it- the name of the joint supplement caused it not to go through. Wow. Thanks for your help, Sotiris!!! (I wasn't quoting or tagging anything- just literally talking about dogs!!!)

It doesn't allow me to post "g.l.u.c.o.s.a.m.i.n.e" either so that must have been the problem. It was probably done for spam reasons. Drugs are popular with ad bots.

Yes, I've had an issue like this several times whenever I've used an out-of-the-way word I rarely use; they're the first ones I look to change to figure out what was wrong whenever it might happen. I think it has something to do with blocking ads and spam like you said, Sotiris. I often see spam threads on other forums with weird words like c.asino or miscellaneous drug names.

Getting Forbidden error while posting...

I pinpointed it to “gay movie.” Try posting it, no quotations marks and see if it works for you...

This is such a strange auto filter! I guess it’s trying to prevent using the word gay as a slur but I don’t know why I can’t say “gay movie”/“lesbian movie” or gay w.o.m.a.n/lesbian w.o.m.a.n? Or maybe not because when I put in actual LGBT slurs they go through no problem... Maybe auto filtering porn ads/spam I guess? If so it’s an unfortunate choice. It’s also weird because as much as I write about LGBT movies, surely I must have written “gay movie” sans quotation marks before??

It doesn't work for me either, so it must be the filter Luke set up for spam.

I checked your posts, and you actually you haven't. Until now, of course. Interestingly, if you break the phases up, the system lets them through. For example, gay Disney movie, lesbian vintage movie, gay pretty woman, bisexual blonde woman...

There's an error while trying to write p.u.r.i.m for some reason. I don't understand what's so problematic about that word.
