Well, at least the ad lists the movies in their proper order. That's already a step up from the early cover!

Maybe they'll make it look halfway decent. I'm praying for an uncropped presentation, but I know it's not going to happen. 2015's been a fantastic year, but that would be too much of a miracle.

No luck yet with any featured title... I had quit the DMC over getting too many unordered DVDs, and this is my second month back in, and I have no featured title at all..?

Thanks to a tip from a couple of members over at Blu-ray.com, I managed to get a full refund on the digital sequels bundle from Vudu. Hats off to them, they responded super-fast and issued the refund in 3 minutes (!). Just in case anyone else here also bought the digital bundle and planning on getting the Blu-ray.

What further confused me about the release date was this banner on their site



So I called to ask is this getting a store release or is it a Disney Movie Club Exclusive. The lady on the phone did some checking and the pre-order itself is an exclusive but it will be available to other stores in January. I guess there's no Amazon Pre-order or any other sites that will have it for pre-order as well for it or something. Sounds a bit confusing to me as why tout it as an exclusive when it's going to be in stores the same day?

Well make another call and it turns out The Aladdin 2 and 3 blu ray combo pack is a Disney Movie Club Exclusive and will NOT be sold in stores.

Yup...I just got the DMC monthly mail packet, and it says "New Club Exclusive! Aladdin II & III 2-Movie Collection Blu-ray + DVD + Digital HD is only available at Disney Movie Club."

Only Aladdin and the King of Thieves was cropped to widescreen for its 2005 DVD release, while The Return of Jafar was presented in its correct 1.33:1 aspect ratio.

It's too bad that both sequels are cropped to 1.78:1 widescreen on Blu-ray, since they also did the same thing with the Blu-ray of Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas.

It is already being sold on eBay for 45 dollars too. So annoying!

Sorry to bump an old thread, but I just wanted to confirm something. What is currently the best way to watch these? The blu rays are cropped, so...does that leave us with the dvd of jafar, and the vhs for king of thieves?

What about the laserdiscs? Its kinda hard to google some of this stuff. Were there no digital releases with the oar?

I even tried looking at alternative means, the copy I found of jafar was the correct aspect ratio, but the whole thing appeared to be sped up to bring the movie from an hour and 9 mins to an hour and 6. to me that's a noticeable amount and unwatchable.
