It sounds even more awful than before which I didn't think was possible. "The film is expected to have the tone of the highly successful Pirates of the Caribbean films" makes me absolutely laugh.

I wonder if they are using this as a vehicle to create a live action Snow White universe. They’ve already announced both Snow White and then the spinoff Rose Red. By adding her in this one, i’m guessing its going to be their soft introduction to the character before they do the others.

So, this is the third Snow White character in a live-action movie. Which Snow White is which?

And "the same tone as PotC?" Yeah, with a character named Princess Rosebud, I doubt it'd be easy to take it seriously.

I was wondering too if Snow White will be the same character, played by the same actress, in all these films (or in more than one), or if each will be a different take on the character. That's if all get produced, maybe only one will be greenlit. Like it seems it happened with Aladdin; after the live-action remake went into production, we haven't heard anything else about the Genie prequel they were planning.

Skyler Shuler: Just read some of the first draft for Disney's Prince Charming, and it’s actually really good. Could be a possible franchise for Disney.

Q: How far out 'till production do you think?

Skyler Shuler: Next year.

Could be a possible franchise for Disney.
Because that's all that matters...

Thank goodness. Hope they cancel Tinker Bell and Rose Red while they're at it.

As for the the film project, insiders do add that the film will not specifically be linked to Cinderella.
So, I guess the film will be about the Prince archetype from fairy tales in general. But isn't that just Prince Edward from Enchanted?

I was going to say, “it feels like this project missed the boat, it should have come out 10-15 years ago” and I went to the first page and the first post is from 2015!

Yeah, something tells me that this isn't getting resurrected because they finally "cracked the code" or whatever PR line they're going to spin. This aint what the world needs right now.

I’m surprising myself by not being against it as I was before. I think it could be an interesting project if it was done like Enchanted and explored fairytale tropes from a prince’s/male perspective. The choice of director is promising.

Phew, I was afraid they'd skew younger by going for Timothee Chalamet or Tom Holland. If true, Chris Hemsworth is a solid choice. He's charming and has great comedic acting chops.

(He also should have been the one playing Ken but alas it wasn't meant to be :shifty: )

Chris Hemsworth is too big and beefy to be Ken.
