I meant in terms of writing. And I was relieved when I saw they didn't use green screen and bad special effects here... It certainly looks more expensive than 'Once Upon a Time'.

It's not. Clearly this show is going to result in a Katy Perry vs. Lady Gaga-esque battle of the fairy tale shows.

I don't expect the writing will be better, since it's a comedy and those usually aren't always known for in-depth characters or character arcs. It'll probably be fun though.

The way the king was introduced was perfect. It's about time something like this aired. Count me in.

He also said Disney wants to use the music beyond the series but didn't specify how.

"We have a glint in our eye that we really want to use that music beyond the show," he says.

They could always use the songs in a similar fashion to On the Record? Or maybe they might give him another film to attach his name to, and a few of the songs here might be used there? (Possibly Enchanted 2.)

I hope there are some real gems in there.

This looks like so much fun. I love it!

I kind of wish that this was airing on the Disney Channel because i see no future for it on ABC.
The show looks interesting, however, I can image the production of it being very very costly.
And I'm pretty sure that I've read that Once upon a time's ratings have been declining so I don't know if I want to invest in this show if it's future looks dreary. :/

Hopefully it can ride along the success of OUAT's Frozen thing.

That song sounds a lot like a more upbeat version of 'If I can't Love her' from the BatB Broadway musical.
