A synopsis has been released.

During a trip to the Warner Bros. studio, NBA superstar LeBron James and his son accidentally get trapped within a world that contains all of Warner Bros.' stories and characters, under the control of a malfunctioning, all-powerful force named Al G (played by Don Cheadle). With the help of Bugs Bunny, LeBron must navigate through a never-before-imagined world filled with iconic movie scenes and characters as they re-assemble the Looney Tunes to rescue his lost son. Now to get back home, LeBron and the Tunes have to unravel Al G's mysterious plan and win an epic basketball game against digital gamified super-versions of the NBA and WNBA's biggest stars as the entire world watches.

The first stills are out. I'm really disappointed they went with CG for the Looney Tunes. I was hoping they would be 2D like in the original. It's very misleading that in publicity photos they show them in 2D, but in the actual film they are CG.

I believe the plan is to make the Looney Tunes hand-drawn or computer animated depending on which location they're in during the movie.

Not surprised. I think I said it recently in a thread in the Off-Topic section that I can't imagine Pepe le Pew in today's world. He was actually my favorite of the Looney Tunes growing up, but he would be labeled "predatory" by today's audiences. At least it kind of makes sense unlike with Shang from Mulan. Speedy Gonzalez is another one; he'll be wiped for being racist if he hasn't been already.

Speedy is fascinating, because Warner Bros already considered getting rid of him before and announced they would stop airing his cartoons, only to receive multiple letters from Latin American viewers, saying they love Speedy Gonzales and consider him a heroic figure.

I doubt that decision will withstand the Twitter crazies of today though, since I imagine they'll say a few letters don't necessarily represent the vast majority of Latin American people, etc. etc.

I'm sorry, I do not like it. The 1996 soundtrack is ICONIC. Disappointed, or maybe I'm just old.

I still haven't seen the film but I'd like to.

It's funny, I think I've come to like the Jonas Bros more over the years just like Miley. I mean, I always liked Nick Jonas, but he was the only one and I didn't follow any of them until he finally went solo (Nick and Priyanka look so good together, btw!). But admittedly, Joe Jonas had some song, "Dance by the Ocean," on his own that was really good, too. I think some of their songs since they re-joined are better than they were back when.

I saw this movie just because of two reasons: 1, I loved the first film as a kid, and 2, it was said to have the Wicked Witch of the West in it. I watched it mostly for the witch. I was really, really hoping some of the Looney Tunes would be at the Wizard of Oz planet and that was where they would run into the witch, as well as see other Oz places and characters. Then they didn't, so I was hoping the witch would maybe be one of the villains who plays against the tunes in the basketball game. She wasn't. Then I saw her in the crowd watching the game, finally! With her flying monkey! Anyway, I really liked the movie. I thought the acting was pretty lacklustre for anyone who wasn't a tune, but whatever. I still liked Lebron as a caring dad and some of the dialogue ("You have zero seconds to tell me where my husband and son are!" ) and the message about working through setbacks in work that is important to you. And the message about letting your kids be themselves, even though that is a well-worn message. I feel like there were two plot holes or messed up things like why would a kid be stupid enough to win a game that traps his family and others inside the serververse just to prove something to his dad, and why didn't the serververse creator just keep everyone there regardless if he won or lost? But maybe I didn't get some things?
