Thank you for the vote of confidence. I'd be more than happy to but because of the problem with the forum software no new moderators can be appointed.
I'm hoping someone can fix it at some point. Is this the same problem that's killed the poll option?

Yes. It's also the same problem that prevents the merging of threads and has messed up the search function.

Garrett Gilchrist (of Thief and the Cobbler: Recobbled Cut fame) just overhauled his forum at his Orange Cow site, but in doing so he deleted all existing posts (submitted 2003 onward), and existing users had to create a new account and start from scratch.

That might be the way to go here, but it would be a shame to lose all the fine posts that have been contributed, even if they are rarely revisited.

No, it's not. The rich archives of this forum is one of the best things about it. What you are suggesting is basically deleting the forum and making another one. That would be the worst possible choice.

I thought you were a mod, Sotiris. You frequent here a lot, you often help people and you share loads of news about great stuff happening in the Disney community. I nominate you as a mod as well.

Yeah, I mean, especially IF there's someone out there with the knowledge to fix this. And maybe help build a more modern site, that would actually be the only way to go as far as I'm concerned.

I'm approaching my 10 year anniversary. If I lost my account before reaching that milestone I'd go nuts.

I agree. Sometimes I go back and just read old threads from years ago. It's too bad there wouldn't be a way to keep this site as an archive and create a new site alongside it (without it costing anything).

Either way, besides missing the polls, I don't think this forum is that bad as-is. I always had this vision that this forum would still be here 20-50 years from now.

Since we are talking about the forum, the bolding and quoting functions here are awful, with multiple posts being quoted and bolding having to be done manually.

Getting back on topic, since there's now a page and have of replies that have nothing to do with my question. I didn't really feel like having a conversation in a thread about EVERY release, I just wanted to focus on this one, as it's been a LONG time coming.

With the search engine as is we can't even view the archives. ;)

I have an idea though. I'm a member of a forum that recently upgraded to XenForo forum software. http://xenforo.com/

That's something that could always be looked into. If anyone uses Tapatalk or Forumrunner apps it is compatible with it. The archives are able to be transferred over and have been for the forum below and their archives are HUGE:

If anyone want to look at/join the forum to see it could be something worth checking out here it is:

http://forums.stevehoffman.tv/

If anyone want to make a new thread to discuss forum upgrading this in the off topic forum we could.
can.

I don't think there will be a DVD only release of this. I think there will be of Mulan though but why Hunchback doesn't get one is anyones guess. Disney can be some random when it comes to their Blu Ray Releases

Also I don't think there's going to be a whole lot of new special features so don't get your hopes up

Ok... I just read the review here on dvdizzy of the new Hunchbak release.

Apparently, there is not a shred of a reason for me to buy this set. I have no interest in HD, or blu rays, or the sequel... and the dvd inside is EXACTLY the same one they've been selling for over 10 yrs..

Pfft... guess I aint spending money on Hunchback!

I agree, Marce82. As Luke said in the review, this was a missed opportunity to include those missing laserdisc bonus features that should have been on the first DVD.

And it was a missed opportunity to release the Disney Channel special about the New Orleans Hunchback World Premiere as a bonus feature, which documented (in their entirety) both the parade through New Orleans, and the awesome concert in the Superdome before the movie started, featuring the original voice talent from the new "renaissance-era" DACs. Being from New Orleans, I was able to attend both in person!

Unfortunately. And so was "Pocahontas", which had some interesting bonus features which never appeared on the 10th Anniversary Edition.
