That's kinda silly considering how popular vampires are these days year round.

Do you know for sure that's why they only have the monster cereals like Count Chocula around Halloween? Because I would think that they would think if according to your reasoning that a lot of people don't celebrate Halloween, they would just sell the cereals all the time as being good cereals featuring monsters and spooky fun marshmallows and not just around Halloween because according to that logic Halloween doesn't matter.

Let me re-phrase what I meant. The Halloween Cereals sell better around Halloween due to them being absent for 11 months of the rest of the year and that drives up the demand. Honestly If it were available all year round, I don't think I'd be paying $3 a box for a 10oz thing of cereal. I think it's the nostalgia purpose that makes it sell well. Also you'd be surprised how many people avoid anything Halloween even if just indirectly. For instance we had some nieghbors that didn't celebrate Halloween and when Hunchback of Notre Dame hit theaters, they didn't allow their kids to see it due to darkness in it. They even went as far to not let their kids see 101 Dalmatians because the villains last name said Devil in it. However they did watch Gargoyles the animated series

Also some people who don't celebrate Christmas oddly enough still see Santa. Also for all of those who don't celebrate Halloween that many families and even more celebrate Christmas. Also there really is no Christmas cereals with Santa as the Mascot, unless you count Christmas Captain Crunch. The reason they pulled the Halloween cereal is because they can charge more during the Halloween season better than they can sell it year round given the cereal competition these days.

How about Mickey's short "Runaway Brain"? That is not aimed particularly at Halloween but does fit the theme! :)

Has it been put on DVD ?

Guess you could download it from YouTube and put it on DVD ???

Or does that equal Jail time if caught ? xD

I found this one recently:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Once-Upon-Hallo ... +halloween

Does anyone know, is it similar to the House of Villains DVD Disney released 11 years ago? I always liked that they included The Evil Queen on the cover artwork.

Why has Disney never released a Halloween-themed DVD?

Back in the days of VHS and Laserdisc, the Disney Company released several Halloween/spook-themed titles collecting various cartoons together. There was one called Scary Tales, released on both VHS and Laserdisc in the early 80’s that featured six cartoons (“Donald Duck and the Gorilla”, “Duck Pimples” “The Skeleton Dance”, “Haunted House”, “Donald’s Lucky Day”, and “Pluto’s Judgment Day”) on it. There was also “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow”, which, when released in the Disney White Clamshell series, also contained two shorts (“Lonesome Ghosts” and “Trick or Treat”).

When Disney started a second line of VHS tapes called “Walt Disney Cartoon Classics” in the late 80’s, there were two more tapes released along these lines: Donald’s Scary Tales and Halloween Haunts. Donald’s Scary Tales contained “Donald Duck and the Gorilla”, “Duck Pimples” and “Donald’s Lucky Day”, and Halloween Haunts contained “Pluto’s Judgment Day”, “Lonesome Ghosts” and “Trick or Treat”.

And that’s it. Disney has released at least one Valentine-themed DVD collection, and at least two Christmas-themed collections. But never any Halloween-themed ones. Besides a DVD containing the above-mentioned cartons, I know there has been demand for the release of Disney’s Halloween Treat and A Disney Halloween TV specials, but again, nothing. Does anybody know why, or have any theories? Any insight would be appreciated. Thank you.

"House of Villains" was essentially just that. It includes several Halloween or spooky themed shorts including older titles like "Trick or Treat", "Donald and the Gorilla" and "Lonesome Ghosts" along with never content from the "Mickey Mouse Works" series.

This is the fourth consecutive year you've posted a thread with the same title, asking the same question, with the same wording:

http://www.dvdizzy.com/forum/viewtopic. ... rtoon+DVD+ (2014)

http://www.dvdizzy.com/forum/viewtopic. ... rtoon+DVD+ (2013)

http://www.dvdizzy.com/forum/viewtopic. ... rtoon+DVD+ (2012)

The answer still hasn't changed. If you wanted to bring up the question again you could at least bump one of your three previous threads.

EDIT: I see the moderators have merged all threads now, thanks mods!

Yea like bruno_wbt said, there's Mickey's House of Villains Halloween-themed DVD. That totally counts. I love that one! There's also some Halloween-themed DVD that was released in England, Once Upon a Halloween.
