True, but that one won't get as much mileage as the other two.

Can you believe this masterpiece of a show is 30! i was 6 when the show originally aired and taped every episode and the other episodes are now on amazon prime as exclusives to download.

Scrooge has been one of my heroes and had merchandise and stuff plus i saw the ducktales movie in theaters when i was 9 and loved it.

Sadly, not every episode is available to download AND the ones that are are the Toon Disney cuts. As such, bits of animation has been removed for PC reasons. So far the DVD's have been uncut and I'm praying we get those last 25 episode on that format finally.

Anyway, if you are in Los Angeles, CA or plan on going to Stan Lee's LA Comic Con, you might want to pick up a ticket if you love classic DuckTales. That's all I'll say about that for now. :thumb:

DuckTales fans, I have an important question for you! Of the surviving cast, who is your favorite voice actor from the original DuckTales?

For me, Russi Taylor and Jim Cummings!

For DuckTales specifically, Jim Cummings more than Chuck McCann or Brian Cummings? While we all love Jim, he was only in the DuckTales pilot while Chuck and Brian played major recurring characters. What about Terry McGovern or Tony Anselmo?

They're all good choices, really...Terry McGovern would get my vote out of them, though, but I mean they all obviously were important to the show!

Yeah, I love Jim Cummings, but I don't personally identify him with DuckTales- it wasn't one of his main jobs. I'd also vote for Terry McGovern.

By the way, today's the day to participate in this campaign:
milojthatch wrote:Hey Disney Afternerds, I have a request for each of you willing to help. September 18th this month will mark the 30th anniversary of DuckTales. To mark this occasion, we're asking fans to help us campaign for the rest of the show (the final 25 episodes) to come to DVD. It's really easy to do and won't take much time. Either that day or the weekend before it (September 15-18, 2017), simply visit the Disney Movie Club's official Facebook page and ask for the rest of the show on DVD. That's it! Well, and maybe share this with other fans if you can and on social media use the hash tag: #DuckTales30. If we can find enough of a mass to do this at once, we feel we have a real chance to make this happen as it has happened for us before with TaleSpin. Thanks!

Ok, DuckTales fans, I can finally share the big news I've been holding. This coming October 28, 2017 at Stan Lee's LA Comic Con, we will be hosting a panel celebrating the 30th anniversary of the classic DuckTales! And who were we able to snag for this? How about Will Ryan, Brian Cummings, voice director Andrea Ramono, director David Block, writer/ producer Jymn Magon and last, but not least, RUSSI TAYLOR! This panel will be at 4pm.

And then, for kicks and giggles, that same day at 10 am we'll be hosting a TaleSpin panel featuring Jim Cummings, Michael Gough and the original Kit Cloudkicker, Alan Roberts!

If your are going to be in the LA area that weekend, you seriously do not want to miss this! Tickets are on sale in the link below, but hurry, they will sell out fast! Enjoy!

That's great! Excellent panellists for both panels! I look forward to watching them online if you upload the videos. It's not the same experience as being there and meeting the creators and voice actors, of course, but it's all that's within my means. I hope everything goes well and you have fun hosting the panels!

I'm sitting in the Talespin panel right now (we're still waiting on Jim Cummings to arrive, lol). Not sure I'll be able to make it to the DuckTales panel too, but here's hoping. :milkbuds:

Thanks for coming! You will be happy to know that a YouTube recording of the panel will go out soon. Also, if you make the DuckTales panel, look for my camera guy Matthew, and if you like I'll make sure he takes pictures of you to share on our Facebook page. The panel moderator, Tim Nydell, can maybe even introduce you to a few of the panelists. Let them both know that Jason sent you and thanks once again for your support!

Unfortunately, my guys were worn out well before the second panel so we had to leave the con early. It was definitely a pleasure seeing those that worked on a DA show in person and getting to hear their stories. I loved how Brian Cummings wanted to tell us all about his character that he couldn't even remember the name of. :D I'd hoped to ask if any of them had any memories to share of Lorenzo Music, but for the last question from the audience I was beaten out by someone comparing the show to Cheers.

Anyway, I lingered for a few minutes after and it was an extraordinary honor for me to meet Jim Cummings for the first time (I've been a huge fan of his since ever since I read an interview of his way back when Darkwing first came out). He was even kind enough to let me take a selfie with him! I'm including it here since he is El Capitan, after all. :D

Very happy you were able to meet Jim. He's done our panels now for three years straight and he brings something new to the table every single time!

Anyway, here is a little bit of the DuckTales panel, wrapped up in my thanks to everyone involved.
