OMG, I thought this was a joke, but I thought wrong.

Ok, this is getting way too far. Can someone please stop Pixar and Lassenter? Seriously, remove all of the direct-to-Disney DVD sequels, but replace them with this crap?!?!

Q: Do you think Planes can replicate the success of Cars?
Anna Chapman: Yes. It won’t be the size of Cars, but it will add to, and maintain, the success of the Cars franchise. In the future there will be additions to the Cars franchise in different vehicle guises. Watch this space, there’s a lot coming.

You can't blame Disney for doing this.
I hope that the filmmakers have fun with the concept. These movies don't HAVE to be bad like all the cheapquels of the past. Get some decent writers and just have fun with it.
Fingers crossed.

I have an idea for a spinoff from Up called Balloons. Two Balloons get separated and embark on a long journey that does not end well unfortunately. It will be the company's first movie with a dark ending.

I know another one: what about bicycles?

if you can have cars and planes and trains in a world without any people driving or manufacturing them, bicycles can also have a world of their own.
But seriously, I find all these 'cars' spin-offs a terrible boring idea and I cannot imagine that animators would find it inspiring.
Please Disney/Pixar, don't throw away your good reputation and come up with something new and original again. Have you run out of ideas, John Lasetter?

As far as parody videos goes, this one is pretty good. Am I the only one who actually sees the potential in this, particularly the ghost ship story -- Halloween special, anyone?
