I do like the way the 1998 WS VHS cover looks. Anyone notice how The 2012 Blu-Ray cover looks like the 1998 WS VHS cover, only zoomed in?

That's pretty classy, actually. I'm surprised.

One thing seems to be missing, though. There's a steam trail coming from the table in the '98 version that seems to be absent from the 2012 one.

I'd probably agree with you there if it weren't for the colors. :) It's just a little too hazy lavender for my taste.

Saw this today at Target, while picking up The Muppets. So it was just a rumor that this was a Disney Store exclusive.

I had it feeling the DVD didn't get cancelled. ;)

And for what it's worth, I like the 98 VHS and 99 DVD cover art since it's perfect.

I love the way the moonlight beams onto the table where Lady and Tramp are having their romantic dinner in the WS WHS version. Reminds me of Look at the skies, they have stars in their eyes....

Since Lady and the Tramp has some of my favorite animation drawings of all time, I hate to see the characters butchered like this. Bring in Frank Thomas to make the damn DVD cover, please.
Yea but isn't your only complaint about how off-model they look? I think the composition of it is better than the Blu-ray's.

Thanks for all the images. I personally think the Platinum is the best one and that the 2012 DVD cover has better composition than the 2012 Blu-ray, even if mostly because of that dang sideways title.

Was just browsing at my local Target, and none of them had a slipcover

Well my BIGGEST complaint is that they're off-model. But I like the blu-ray's composition more than the current DVD, for sure. The DVD is so clustered... it's like "LOOK! HERE'S LADY AND THE TRAMP! THEY'RE THE MAIN CHARACTERRSSSS!!! LOOOOKK!!!!!!"

At least the blu-ray gives them a little room to breathe, even if the composition is a little off.

Well, it takes a lot to make this movie look good.

Hate to ask this and seem whiny, but

Anyone who ordered this from Amazon per chance and received it already can confirm if their copy had a slipcover or not?

I cancelled my order, until I know for sure if it has a slipcover (or not).

Any help or pictures would be more than appreciated.

I'm not sure about amazon, but Best Buy and Target dvd editions do not have slipcovers.

Thank you for letting me know.

Just seems weird. Snow White, Bambi, Beauty and the Beast and The Lion King DVD only editions all came with slipcovers. Ugh.

You collect any and all versions of the Disney movies...but not if they don't have a slipcover?!

Exactly. 8)

I have some 'exceptions', like the Tarzan, Snow White, Emperor's New Groove, Atlantis and Dinosaur Collector's Editions, but all my other Disney dvds and blu rays have a slipcover. To me, it makes them special and creates unity on my shelf. To each their own, right? :)

Yea, to each their own...I just thought if you were willing to buy any and all versions, that would include unslipcovered versions too, lol.
