I do like the way the 1998 WS VHS cover looks. Anyone notice how The 2012 Blu-Ray cover looks like the 1998 WS VHS cover, only zoomed in?

That's pretty classy, actually. I'm surprised.PixarFan2006 wrote:Anyone notice how The 2012 Blu-Ray cover looks like the 1998 WS VHS cover, only zoomed in?
I'd probably agree with you there if it weren't for the colors.Lazario wrote:For my money, the '98 WS VHS is easily the best.

Yea but isn't your only complaint about how off-model they look? I think the composition of it is better than the Blu-ray's.SWillie! wrote:It's not the theme of the cover that I don't like - I think the cover of LatT should be the spaghetti scene. But the drawings on this cover are extremely off model, while the blu-ray cover is at least better, albeit far from perfect.
Since Lady and the Tramp has some of my favorite animation drawings of all time, I hate to see the characters butchered like this. Bring in Frank Thomas to make the damn DVD cover, please.
Thanks for all the images. I personally think the Platinum is the best one and that the 2012 DVD cover has better composition than the 2012 Blu-ray, even if mostly because of that dang sideways title.enigmawing wrote:I'd say the 2012 DVD is the worst of the bunch.
Oh, tell me pretty please...does it come with a slipcover?DancingCrab wrote:Saw this today at Target, while picking up The Muppets. So it was just a rumor that this was a Disney Store exclusive.
Was just browsing at my local Target, and none of them had a slipcoverKhonnor wrote:Oh, tell me pretty please...does it come with a slipcover?DancingCrab wrote:Saw this today at Target, while picking up The Muppets. So it was just a rumor that this was a Disney Store exclusive.

Well my BIGGEST complaint is that they're off-model. But I like the blu-ray's composition more than the current DVD, for sure. The DVD is so clustered... it's like "LOOK! HERE'S LADY AND THE TRAMP! THEY'RE THE MAIN CHARACTERRSSSS!!! LOOOOKK!!!!!!"Disney Duster wrote:Yea but isn't your only complaint about how off-model they look? I think the composition of it is better than the Blu-ray's.

Thank you for letting me know.MouseHouse55 wrote:I'm not sure about amazon, but Best Buy and Target dvd editions do not have slipcovers.
You collect any and all versions of the Disney movies...but not if they don't have a slipcover?!Khonnor wrote:I cancelled my order, until I know for sure if it has a slipcover (or not).
