Now the Disney website states that it will be in Widescreen.

I hope youre right karlsen. I noticed they still have the aspect ratio listed as 1.33:1 but call it widescreen- ( both blackbeards Ghost and greyfriars bobby). Boy they sure like to keep us guessing dont they. I have my finger poised over the 'order' button at ezydvd the minute I get confirmation that blackbeard really will be widescreen!!! It is good to see some titles confirmed widescreen though (the original freaky friday).. I loved the quality of the darby dvd but I kept thinking how much better it would have looked in widescreen. The release dates are getting closer, cant wait to find out!!!

Yes, I also think it is weired that it is both listed as 1.33.1 and widescreen, since they obviously must be mistaking on one of them (if they are not going to release it as a flip disc with both)

Oh how much I hate to be fooled like this. Blackbear's Ghost is Fulscreen.

Then there are no need to buy it just for the Norwegian subtitles.
