Well Good News!!! The Signature Edition of The Iron Giant is now available for pre-order on Amazon for a release date of February 16th!!

The not bad news, but other news is it's only on DVD, not Blu Ray

The Iron Giant: Signature Edition (Ultimate Collector's Edition) will be released on September 06, 2016 and includes:

• A letter from director Brad Bird to the fans
• Five Mondo Art Cards
• 32-Page Book
• Collectible Iron Giant Figurine
• Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital HD Combo Pack




They are also releasing a separate The Art of the Iron Giant book on August 05, 2016.

Wow... This isn't even one of my favorite films and I want to buy it.

I'd go for the UCE once it's down to $40 or so.

Anyway, amazing that it's getting such great treatment on BD, considering that just not too long ago, I wasn't even sure it'd ever see the light of day on Blu-ray.

I've only watched pieces of the movie when I was younger, but last week I watched the whole movie and loved it! Glad I decided to become a fan.

Have the Blu-ray on pre-order along with the Signature Edition and the 1999 DVDs (the latter mostly for the music video and theatrical trailer, the latter also found on the Special Edition DVD, but not ported over for the Signature Edition DVD/Blu-ray).

I had both the standard and UCE Blu-rays on pre-order up until yesterday. I decided that, while I like the movie quite a bit, I don't want to spend $75 on a movie I'm not absolutely in love with. I think I'll be perfectly with just the on-disc features.
