For some reason this thread title made me picture all of the princesses ticked off and taking charge!

I saw them in a "Oh, it's on now!" kind of thing, where they were rolling up their sleeves and getting ready to kick butt and take names.

Maybe they formed a street gang or something.

In a world where the only rule is lawlessness, the Disney Princesses have been pushed too far! Now they're banding together to take back the night! Watch "Angels With Attitude," coming this fall to Showtime. Rated TV-MA for graphic violence, explicit language, and strong sexual content.

Can't Disney/Marvel make a movie with the Disney Princesses (and their Princes) a la The Avengers?;D They should fight the villains from their movies!

Yes, IF they have a leader, it's Cinderella. And would I also pick her if I could? Duh!

One time, some man in some internet video, I think he was a father of a girl who liked Disney Princesses, said he finally figured out why Cinderella was the leader, that it was because she became a princess through the karma of being good and kind.

I think Disney picks her as the leader because she looks the most like our ideas of a princess, she looks the most "done up" to be a princess, she's one of the most popular princesses, perhaps first or only second to Ariel, she has some strength and force, she takes care of people in her life like a good ruler and leader would, and she represents the idea that any ordinary child could become a princess.

DC Fan, I see you love Aurora, and she is very princess-like and elegant, but Cinderella is also very princess-like and elegant while also having what I mentioned above. Cinderella actually was not always a maid, but rather of noble status, and when she married the prince, the proclamation at the gate said she would officially be a princess. She acts like a princess even when having to work like a maid, and she especially acts like a princess at the ball. That is part of why the prince picked her to be his princess.

Super Aurora, you are hilarious my friend. Good one. :D

Actually I don´t.

I would much prefer Jasmine or Ariel.

But as said, for some reason, Aurora just screams leadership.

PS

Besides Cinderella being a snob, she can come from a noble family, but Aurora was born in a royal family. So she can kick Cinderella´s butt.

On top of that, Cinderella has 1 godfairy while Aurora has 3 fairies. Not only that, but her godfairy is braindamaged. The 3 fairies would destroy her in battle if sent by Aurora. :P So, no morea leadership issues.

Umm.... Cinderella had to put up with a lot of shit, such as taking abuse from her stepmother and stepsisters and she had to, in a way, work towards her dreams. Even if she had help along the way.

Aurora just happened to have a chance meeting with her prince and was comatose for the second half of the movie. At least Cinderella didn't need to be rescued by a prince! She just had a little help from her friends.

Another reason for Cinderella not to lead:

Aurora has her panoramic, gorgeous kingdom to walk around and speak of.

Cinderella on the other hand has a square, not too much to look at kingdom.

In other words: Aurora deserves to lead.

I always pictured them as an animated Miss Universe.

There are no leaders. The Disney Princess franchise is a hivemind. Like the Borg, but with more glitter and ridiculously elaborate dresses.

Eilonwy. Period.

She is so busy with all the merchandise, managing and PR for the other princesses, that she doesn't even have any time for herself! True Story!

Yeah! Or Kida, since she actually has experience ruling single-handedly now. She also possesses some of that magical "princess quality" that seems so important these days.

But out of the "official" lineup (which I'll never accept), Cinderella seems to be the alpha princess. She's always being a camera hog and standing in front of Snow White and Jasmine. She's usually the first fairytale princess anyone thinks of period. So, she's probably their leader. I must say, I don't agree the direction she's taking the Princesses in lately.

HAHA, maybe we should demand she step down then. Perhaps one of the other princesses will re-direct the franchise in a more positive direction.

This is what I thought when I first read this thread. There are no leaders because there's nothing to lead. They're not fighting crime (although some people in this thread wish they were) or fighting for a cause or working together towards a common goal. They're just grouped together for merchandising etc and should otherwise be taken independently.

^ True, but doesn't the thought of the princesses interacting somehow make your mind travel? I think it'd be really interesting to see how they would interact. I think Snow, Cindy, and Aurora wouldn't get along with any of the modern princesses. Mostly because they come from different times and would therefore have different ideals. What would they think of Jasmine and Ariel baring their stomachs? lol

^ Yes it would be interesting, although that sounds like a good separate topic. :)

WTF? In what way does Cinderella prove herself to be a snob? And how does being royal mean you would actually be able to kick someone's butt? It is Cinderella who shows not only more strength of any kind, but she even picks up Lucifer, almost kicks Lucifer's butt with a broom, and gives her animals commands they follow well. Cinderella has shown herself to actually have more leadership skills.

You keep talking about how Aurora "seems" like a good leader without any points to back that up, because for some reason you like Aurora (or more likely, just her movie) more than Cinderella or her movie (which has a great to look at kingdom, if you tried to notice more. Everyone and their mom says Sleeping Beauty has so much great to look at because of all the information Disney put forth about how they tried to make the movie extra beautiful. No one noticed this in the movie's first releases...).

Cinderella or Belle because they are always on the merchandise.
