There have been more movies released since 2014 that would also be a part of the November release list. Anyway, here's my ranking of favorites:

The fact that The Princess and the Frog wasn't released in November has always been one of those things that smelled like they were trying to ensure it didn't do too well (I mean, the lies about its budget prove that, but I digress) because they wanted hand-drawn animation dead. I mean, Bolt and Chicken Little before it as well as Tangled, Frozen, etc. after it were all in November...

I don't really like the Dalmatians' re-make, but sometimes I put it on to watch Glenn Close hamming it up. Her in the barn at the end is hilarious.

Too bad Raya won't be a part of this list.

I always attributed Princess and the Frog's wide release not being in November to Disney having scheduled Robert Zemeckis's A Christmas Carol in November and the trouble with Christmas-themed movies are the limited number of spots you can open them in (after December 25, Christmas movies usually see a massive drop in box-office, which is why they traditionally open in November).

If Disney wasn't releasing A Christmas Carol that year, I feel they definitely would have released The Princess and the Frog in their usual American Thanksgiving spot and I agree it would have seen better grosses there. For some reason, they decided to open Old Dogs of all movies in late November 2009. That's a movie that could have opened anywhere on the calendar.

That reminds me that I got stuck watching Old Dogs with a friend because it was the only film out that our parents thought was appropriate. We walked out after 20 minutes to go watch Legion instead which was rated R.
