Character: Dopey

Scene: All the parts where the Queen becomes and is in witch form. So creepy!

Song: Whistle While You Work (I also love the deleted Music in your Soup song, which I used to listen to on an eerie, crackly old record)

Character: The queen, most definitely. Even when I was a kid I thought she was more beautiful (and interesting!) than Snow White.

Scene: The transformation...for obvious reasons...

Song: This is a tough one... many good songs in this film. I;ve always liked "One Song" (the prince's song)... but also like "The Silly Song" and "whistle while you work"...

After a recent viewing, my choices have changed:

Character: The Wicked Queen (especially in her unnerving 'Hag' disguise). I also now like the stammering yet endearing Doc very slightly more than Grumpy.

Scene: The Queen's transformation, easily; it still scares me somewhat. The forest scene is also great.

Song: 'Heigh Ho' without a doubt.

Character - Dopey! He's adorable and kinda steals the show in ways. I also love that he's able to show so much character without saying a word. Such great animation!

Scene - The transformation scene from the queen to the hag. It's chilling in ways.

Song - "Heigh-Ho" is my favorite. I think a song automatically becomes my favorite if I randomly begin to sing it every time I think of the film.

btw, I'm watching Snow White right now and I just realized that there are some raccoon animal friends. Raccoons are only native to North America! Interesting that they would make a slip like that.

Character: Snow White, Doc, Grumpy

Scene: The Queen transforming into the old hag, and then tricking Snow White into biting the poisoned apple

Song: "I'm Wishing/One Song" and "Some Day My Prince Will Come".

Since this is my favorite Disney Animated Classic, it's kinda hard to make this kind of choice, but here goes.

Character: Snow White and the Queen
Scene: The Flight Through the Forest,The Queen's Transformation & The Finale
Song: Someday My Prince Will Come

My worsts:

Character: Doc.
Song: "The Silly Song."
Scene: The dancing scene with Snow White and the dwarfs. I just never care for that. Also, her kissing the Dwarfs before they go off to work. The cleaning scenes never bothered me, strange enough.

Character: Queen Grimhilde. (Behind her, Snow White)

Scene: The Queen transforms into the hag. Her hair long and flying all over the place and turning white, the look on her face, her hands turning bony, her voice saying "Look, my hands!" Amazing. (Behind that, when Snow White bites the apple. Chilling. Haunting).

Song: "Some Day My Prince Will Come" So wistful of someday finding the one destined for you and who will make you happy. (Behind that, "One Song", and behind that, "I'm Wishing").

Character: Snow White (she was never one of my favorite princesses until not too long ago; I have grown to love her gentleness, and she really is quite brave, and very caring)

Scene: I do love when Snow White is fleeing through the woods- it truly is a terrifying scene. I love when she interacts with the animals, discovers the cottage, and when she meets the Dwarfs.

Song: Every single one of Snow White's songs. I can't choose any one over the others.

blackcauldron85, I feel the same way about Snow White. For a long time growing up, I didn't really like her. The only reason that changed is I started to view her more as the child she obviously still is. The scenes with the Dwarfs feel like a little girl playing house. From that perspective, a lot of the scenes make more sense to me, and she's really adorable. Plus, I do believe we should celebrate innocence like Snow White's, although people will take advantage of it. You can take better care of yourself if you're worldly/wise, but I don't think we need to be so hardened at the same time. Forgive me for going cheesy there.

Even though "I'm Wishing/One Song" on its own is very romantic to me, seeing Snow White being carried off for marriage is really creepy when I think about how childish she is.

So, I had this thought a couple of days ago: After all that Snow White went through... she ends up in the cottage, and thinks that there are children. a) Props to her for wanting to help raise the "orphaned children." BUT! b) Major props to her (or, I mean, some could say what in the world was she thinking, being a young girl...) for staying to help take care of the Dwarfs once she found out they were old men...
