Not trying to start anything - but I think Lady and the Tramp is easily the weakest of all 5 animated films to come out from the 50's. Yes, I say Peter Pan is still better. At least it made me react. Which is more than I can say for Lady and the Tramp. One of the dullest films the studio
ever released.
Dalmatians is the easy winner and the fact that most people here are responding with "aah, the memories..." kinda seals the deal.

I like both movies just fine, but I think I prefer 101 Dalmatians a little more since I watched it more often than LATT as a kid.

I have to go with 101 Dalmatians also. A far more entertaining film all around, though Lady and the Tramp does have some lovely moments, it's better for the sum of it's parts than as a whole.

101 Dalmations wins for me because Cruella is an amazing villain and it has a lot of heart and humor in it. But I love Lady and the Tramp as well. Both childhood classics!

Both are appealing to me, but when push comes to shove, I would say 101 Dalmations. I prefer Lady & The Tramp's softer and fuller look by a long way (and it certainly has plenty of cute moments), but 101 Dalmatians has a more complex plot with more laughs.
