I'd add in Gay Purr-ee (1962). It's one of Judy Garland's last films, as well as her only animated film. It was a collaboration between Chuck Jones and UPA Animation Studios. The trailer was not on YouTube, so here's the opening credits.

No doubt it provokes comparisons to The Aristocats, huh?

I wonder if anyone would consider The Last Unicorn obscure? If so, I bring it up for consideration.

have heard about Gay Purr-ee from multiple people but have never seen it will have to rent it sometime. Looks really cute.

I actually like Gay Purr-ee more than The Aristocats. I find the story and villains more interesting and I prefer the animation in the former (one of the rare times a UPA production did better in that department than a Disney production).

The Aristocats still trumps it in music, in my opinion.
