[Sigh] No Swoosh.
Will somebody think of the Swoosh?
I sort of miss the Swoosh. I'm not joking, I rather did like it. I gave a nice uniform feel to the early discs.

Are you really not being sarcastic?
Those were absolutely awful; took up quarter of the cover, monochrome, squished the poster-I'm waiting for them all to be reissued. I also can't wait for the digital copy to get lost because the newly replace 'DOUBLE/TRIPLE PLAY' sucks as much as the swoosh.

Yes, I really am not being sarcastic. I do think the covers look better without them, but I don't think that they looked anywhere near as bad as everybody made out (apart from the modified World's End one).
I'm not a big one for uniformity - I know some people here have to have spines and covers and packaging that match as much as possible - but there was something nice about the early Blu-rays all having the same trade dress. They certainly were easy to spot either in stores or via on-line thumbnails.
It's not as if you spend a lot of time looking at the covers anyway. How often do you look at a cover once you buy a disc? Do they really offend anyone that much?

Huh. I always thought it looked pretty cool, not quite sure why.

I think it would look alright if it wasn't so large.

I wonder if Dinosaur, Chicken Little, and Meet the Robinsons will have a slipcover. Anyone heard?
Does the new release of Tinker Bell have one?

Does anyone think there is a chance of a new wave of the Pixar films coming our way anytime soon?
Unless I missed something, I've only found WALL-E available as Blu-ray/Digital Copy or DVD, no combo pack with Blu-ray and DVD together. I know a few of the other Pixar titles have not seen combo releases as well.
Is it wishful thinking to imagine getting The Incredibles, Finding Nemo, Ratatouille, Cars, and WALL-E re-released as Blu-ray/DVD combo packs?

Cars will be re-released as a DVD/Blu-ray combo pack on April 12, 2011, the same day The Incredibles combo pack is released.
The pre-order page is up for both at Amazon.com:
The Incredibles:

Cars:
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B004I654WQ?tag ... amp=211189
DVDizzy has cover art for both here:

I for one am really excited as I have just started collecting the Pixar films in addition to the DAC and have been waiting to get the combo packs! Now if we could just get Finding Nemo on Blu-ray (as a combo) and WALL-E and Ratatouille re-released as a combo, I'd be all set!

I am looking forward to the re-releases of Enchanted and Meet the Robinsons as Blu-ray/DVD combo packs in the US on 2/8.
Is there any chance we'll get some kind of coupon for these releases? I am assuming not, but who knows.

Wouldn't it be cheaper just to buy tickets to see it on Broadway than to buy re-releases of things you already own to earn points to get tickets to see it on Broadway? I mean... not to piss on your parade or anything.

Less than a week to go until this new wave of re-releases hits the shelves. Anyone else going to pick up any of the titles? I am planning on getting Enchanted and Meet the Robinsons, as I have been waiting for a combo pack and don't own either movie in any previous form.
It'd be cool if we get some kind of coupon for these, but I don't think it's going to happen. Therefore, I probably won't be getting these on release day unless there are some good sale prices; I'll just wait until they come down a bit.
