YEP! Dinosaur is definitely canon!

Personally, I'm not a fan of Dinosaur. I have tried multiple times to like it, but I have a hard time feeling engaged in the story line. IMHO, I don't consider Dinosaur "worthy" of canon status, but I feel the same way about Saludos Amigos given its brevity and that so much of it is live action.

That being said, since these are Disney's movies, my opinion is that they get to be the official word on what is/what is not canon, even if I personally don't like a film

If you are into Blu-ray, I would suggest getting the Blu-ray of Dinosaur, but if you are still buying standard DVD's then look for the two-disc version. It has been discontinued for some time, but there are copies of it to be found in a lot of different stores. Try to avoid buying it off of eBay, as they have it way overpriced.

I own both versions and can tell you that the Blu-ray truly makes everything look real. The first ten minutes of the movie is probably the best opening for a Disney movie I have ever seen.

I gave up on officializing the canon when this studio made Chicken Little and went into the CGI biz. Stubborn of me I know but that's how I feel.

I'm surprise they're not making The Nightmare Before Christmas an official part of the canon. The film was originally released under the Touchstone Pictures label because the studios suits were chicken. Now they're milking it for all it's worth and crediting it as a Disney film.

I didn't intend to... but it looks like i've started picking up the blu-rays of the new re-releases which i already had... although i haven't picked up chicken little.
