Yay! I'm glad I waited! After hearing this news, I want to watch the film! Be back in a little bit!

You mean the Walt TV introductions? That'd be pretty neat if they did. While they're at it, it'd be nice if they presented One Hour in Wonderland in HD and replaced the film clips with the newest restorations for each film or short represented.

That would be sweet, but I doubt Disney will pay royalties to Jello for that. It's the same reason we don't get commercials on other Disney releases (though we did see a whole two seconds of the McDonald's Little Mermaid commercial on that DVD).

I would LOVE to see them include the Jello commercials fully restored. The Gryphon and Mock Turtle are amazing!

My goodness, this is wonderful news !!! Would this mean that this makes Alice Disney's most released film in various formats, from re-releases in the cinema, to VHS and DVD, and now Blu ? Feels as if there never is a time when this movie isnt on our shelves.

I am so glad its getting the proper treatement it so deserves, but it makes the Un-Anniversary seem even more of a cold, hard cash-in than ever before from Disney. I do feel sorry for the people who went out and got the DVD release.

I presume the DVD will be released world wide, unlike the last DVD which was Region 1 only ?

Who said there will be a new DVD-release also? I guess the rest of the world will get the Un-anniversary Edition and that's it.

I'd be surprised if this was given a DVD release as well. There really is no point. I'd also be surprised if this wasn't released worldwide.

You suppose they'll still be doing the BD/DVD combo packs?

And I was tempted to buy the new DVD addition yesterday at f.y.e. But I am glad I didn't . Now I feel better about keeping just my Masterpeice edition.

Sweet deal Disney!!!

I think the combos will probably be phased out over the next 18 months. You never know though.

Crap. And I just got the new 2-Disc DVD not too long ago!

Curse my impatience!

To be honest, this really isn't one of my favorite Disney movies. MAYBE I'll buy the Blu-Ray if it comes to a decent price and/or if it has decent features.

After this, it feels as though anything's possible! I wonder if this means that maybe Mouse Detective and Black Cauldron could get a blu release? But right now I'm just really excited for this!

Have you notice that they reuse the logo from the un-annvirsary for the 60th editions screen cap:

Yeah, I did. That could mean one of three things:

1. The Blu-ray cover art is going to be identical to the Un-Anniversary cover art.

2. The Blu-ray cover art will be brand new, but will reuse the UAE logo.

3. The Blu-ray cover art and logo will both be new, but the trailer uses the UAE logo since a new one isn't ready, yet.

I'm kind of hoping for #3, though I won't mind if 1 or 2 happen. The UAE is actually my favorite of all Alice covers, but I still find it exciting to see new artwork. Since this release is probably a year or so away, anything's subject to change. I can only hope that because they're announcing this so early, it means they're spending all this time creating new features and collecting old ones. Only time will tell.

Excellent! I am looking forward to this! Alice in Wonderland has recently become one of my favorites, and all I have is the Masterpiece VHS.

I didn't wait! I bought the Un-Anniversary Edition! Curse you Disney, argghhhhh!!!

The only thing that really keeps me happy about it is the sub-title actually is kind of interesting in it's oddness and relation to the film.

How weird, though. How truly weird. Un-Anniversary Edition, then 60th Anniversary Edition like a year later!

If the logo is the same according to that, I think that helps say it will only be on Blu, the DVD only people will have to keep their Un-Anniversary Editions.

Disneykid, really, the newest version is your favorite of any Alice cover artwork ever? My favorite's the Masterpiece cover which has a better logo and even captures the atmosphere of the film. I also think other VHS covers are better. I even like the Gold Collection one more. Is it your fave because it fits in the most characters, while also keeping your favorite character front and center (quite literally...)? But the previous covers feel classier to me anyway.

Haven't watched it yet but who knows maybe tomorrow, I'm thinking about watching it tomorrow!
