To be honest, the wizard school episodes don't do anything for me as they revert to that Hannah Montana-Sonny with a Chance type of comedy and over-acting I just dislike so much and why I can't stand the other Disney Channel tween-coms.
However, the episodes that concentrate on the family relationship are why I do find Wizards of Waverly Place to be a guilty pleasure and actually a pleasant watch from time to time.

This. Although I keep looking at the guide to see what incredibly rare movies might come on, I don't watch anything on it anymore.
