Have you watched the film or are you basing your opinion on trailers you've seen? Trailers tend to go overboard showing funny clips from a movie to get little kids to beg their parents that they want to see it.

If you look at the Upcoming Cover Art page on UD, under March 16th, it says "To Be Announced." I'm thinking Luke knows something we don't. :)

You're probably right. I also noticed that dvdaf.com has updated their info on Fantasia/2000 with a release date of 3/2. I know dvdaf is kind of like a Wikipedia, but sometimes their right.

It seems like March-May is going to be a great time for animated classics on blu-ray!

One can only hope they have even more coming out around the time of the fall diamond edition...

North American cover art for the "3-disc" edition:

http://www.thehdroom.com/coverartview.php?id=5336

As I suspected, it has a nasty yellow border, like Wall-E's "3-disc", to distinct it from the single disc Blu-ray (the "3-disc" even comes with a slipcover, I'm guessing just like Wall-E, people who opt for the cheaper more economical version will be shafted and not get a slipcover). Adding to the cheapness of the cover, they have a quote claiming its the best movie since the Lion King, as if they're desperate to convince people to buy it. Either way, its a single disc Blu-ray with a quote on the cover, just like Bolt's release with the same movie 3 times, and I'm sure it skimps on extras too. I think I'll hold out until a collectors edition or something comes out, that treats this movie with respect. Right now, I'm tired of Disney releasing these barebones sets and feel they can get away with it because they give you an undesirable DVD and digital copy.

Well, at least I know what the cover art looks like a little more close up. :)

But I still think Mama Odie should be in Louis's place on the cover, as much as I love him. :P

I get it now... Louis is a ghost... and Facilier has nog legs...

other than that, I must express my shock over the fact that they chose yellow for this cover art. Finally a Disney Blu-ray that's not blue.

Facilier and Louie look like genies risen from the ferry's smoke pipes. rotfl

Now that there's a larger picture of the cover, I can see Facilier has crossed eyes. Oy.
