Very sad, and it's always surreal to hear of a death so young. She was actually one of my many crushes, though only briefly and way before she was well-known, on some show she did even before Torkelsons. I only saw a couple of episodes of it but found her adorable. Don't remember the show's name.

What I find highly suspicious though, is Murphy's husband declining to have her undergo an autopsy. Something to hide?

I agree. This is extremely fishy, especially with his past of drugs, and the fact that she got into drugs because of him.

This is so shocking, she was an excellent actress too. She will be missed! RIP Brittany!

As far as her husband not wanting an autopsy. Sure it does seem fishy, and maybe he does think it might have something to do with drugs... but maybe he doesn't want people thinking, "omg brittany murphy died because she was a druggie, how shameful". If I had a loved one that died because of a over-dose I would rather people think they died of natural causes too.

Overall though, it doesn't really matter how she died. We lost a wonderful talent and as far as I know a great person. That's what matters.

they are going to have an autopsy apparently despite what her husband said or requested....which is scheduled for today.... might have already happened

There is nothing fishy about her husband not wanting an autopsy. Both he and Brittany were/are of the Jewish faith in which desecrating the human body is a sin. An autopsy would fall under that category.

Hearing that I understand their wishes...however...I am not sure other people will see it like that....or even know that knowledge....

I agree. Especially if he got her into the drugs like you said, that makes it even fishier, which leads me to my next point...

...If what Dan said is true about the husband getting her into drugs (which I actually do not doubt at all, he seems like a scumbag, but that's just me), could he possibly be using this as an excuse not to do an autopsy? I know either way the autopsy was performed today, but I'm just saying, maybe he only tried using the excuse that they're Jewish to not do the autopsy.

If what Dan said is true, her husband should be ashamed of himself. Brittany was so talented and had so much going for her, and for him to get her into drugs is just low and disgusting.

I'm not trying to start any arguments or anything, I haven't read up about the husband that much, but if what Dan claims is true, then that's absolutely disgusting. If it's not, then there's gotta be something. A 32-year-old woman doesn't just flat-out die of "natural" causes. A 92-year-old woman? Sure. But not a 32-year-old.

It's never been 100 % confirmed, but from the time she dated/married him, her appearence changed dramatically. She looked haggard, etc. And apparentley she was definitely on drugs, as was he.

I agree. She certainly didn't look healthy during the last couple of years. I just hope she's now at peace.
