My thoughts on this are Luxo does have the right to sue...espically if Pixar/Disney used it without permission....
Though this thought still lingers in my mind.....Hasn't Luxo JR been around longer than Toy Story through UP to begin with???? Is someone late to the party or something? I mean....Why didn't Luxo do this when Luxo JR short was created....if they were in fear or were offended that they used their lamp....and now all of a sudden just because of a Lamp Blu Ray box set.....
If they are just realizing this now that Luxo Jr came out even before Toy Story was made.....which if thats what they are saying.....they are either incredibly dumb for not noticing it before,,,or lieing....or probably wants to get their share of the Power Bill that Luxo JR has made for Pixar/and or Disney......My question is....why so late after its creation???

Using it in a movie (or a logo) is something different than using the real object as a gift set. Obviously they must've heard about the logo, because it's been around for twenty years and the lamp has the same name, so it must be that Disney didn't have the rights to include a real lamp in the set.

And come on, Luxo (the company) sells lamps. Disney is selling the EXACT same product. It seems Disney thought they could have gotten away with it because Luxo Jr. was created by John Lasseter and not Luxo. It was worth the risk, but really, let Luxo have their lamps since that is all they sell! Plus, it will save me $200.

There is word that there will be a $10 coupon for UP that will come out on the same day it is released Nov, 10th. So before you guys go buying Monsters Inc, and UP together with just the Monsters Inc $8 coupon, print this one as well lol.
I am still undecided if I want to upgrade my copy of Monsters Inc.

NOTES
-Any deal that includes price-matching is obviously YMMV. Depending on what store you go to they might be prickly about a deal that involves both coupons AND pricematching. I know that the Target I shop at will allow me to do deal #1, but other people will have various success.
IT'S UP TO YOU to decide whether it's worth venturing out to your local Target/Best Buy to see if you can successfully get deals 1-2, or whether you don't mind spending extra money for the convenience of Amazon.
-If you do deal #1, you will need a
physical copy of the weekly ad from Best Buy that store's prices in order to pricematch. These ads can probably be found in your Sunday newspaper.
-I did not include any Amazon deals that involve the "Snow White Thanks" promo as that is exclusive to a select few people.
-I did not include any deals at Wal-Mart as their B&M prices for Up and Monsters Inc are still unknown.
-I did not include any deals from Toys R Us because, well, they don't have any good deals.
-
YES, TARGET DOES PRICEMATCH
ADDITIONAL REBATES
-
$4 MIR for purchasing Up + qualifying Ronzoni products.
-
$5 MIR for purchasing Up + qualifying Kernel products.
-
$10 OFF at Amazon when you purchase Up and a second qualifying Blu-Ray.

If we get a $10 off coupon for UP, then the Target purchase will only be $14.98 for both lol. Then I guess I would upgrade.

I think I'll be cancelling my Amazon order.... It was already a good deal, but Target sports a better one. I don't feel any buyer's guilt at all - I have a seperate order for three other big name Blu-ray's from them, and I doubt the deals for those will get any better. Boy, if that $10 off Up coupon comes available.... $15 for the two of those movies.... What a steal!
Cheers,
JM

Hi there, I thought I'd post my example of what I saved using some of the discounts offered by Amazon. No real reason for it!!! Except it might show a tangeable example (or whatever!!!

)
In my daily specials they had monsters inc at $21.45.
With UP i get that for $9.99
They also have an offer where you buy a Blu-ray out of a selection of around 30, and you get $10 off that, so I got Cars for $9.49
Plus, I had that Snow White "Thank You" credit of $10.
So, all this plus postage to Australia comes to around $44, less than $15 for each title, which is quite amazing I think.
With all these offers that are being made, it seems like its a good time to get into Blu ray. They are practically giving them away!!!!
All I need now is my Multi region player, which should arrive this week, and I'm all set.
This certainly comes at a good time for me, as my Dvd player is on its last legs, so I was going to have to replace it anyway, and I managed to track down a Blu ray muti region player at a decent price, so I guess the switch to Blu has made a natural progression for me
Anyway, enough of my rant, I hope you all get a good deal on these movies!!!
Take care Greg.

I ended up getting UP and Monsters Inc both for 24.98 off Amazon. I've seen some get it lower, but I still think it was one heck of a deal. I'm very proud and can't wait to recieve them.

If you go to Wal-Mart's website and enter your zip code to look at the weekly ads, you can find a ligament one there.

You should use whatever zip code you live in... are you sure it's not there? I don't know why it wouldn't be.

Dude why can't you just give me the zip code you have entered?? Why does it have to be so hard to give me the zip code you entered?

First of all, calm down. The more you keep posting about wanting a zip code the less help you are going to get. It's not helping your case so settle down for a bit.
