Here with another skit -- and our next award -- is Julian Carter!!

Site Article of the Year

Image:

This award is presented by Cuthbert Harris, a bespectacled and generally pleasant young man pursuing a career in journalism.

Backstage, Cuthbert appears. He is out of breath and a little dishevelled. He walks out on stage in as dignified a way as he can.

Cuthbert Harris: (stumbles nervously) “Please forgive me for that annoying delay. I presume everything is ready?”

Luke: “Yes, you may start.”

Cuthbert Harris: “Thank you Luke. (nods, then looks at his audience) I expect all of you are eagerly awaiting the result. Yes, those Golden Mickey statuettes certainly do, er … (flips hastily through notes) tickle the retinal cells with their curvaceous reflective surfaces …”

Aaron: (to Luke) “I get the feeling he’s already out of ideas. ‘Tickle the retinal cells’, indeed. He must be joking!”

Luke: “I think he just likes to use difficult words.”

Cuthbert Harris: “My heart greatly wishes that all of you could take the coveted trophy home … ”

Aaron: (to Luke) “Don’t they usually say this stuff at kids’ competitions?”

Luke: “Er …”

Cuthbert Harris: “ … and of course we all know that all the nominees are winners in their own way … ”

Aaron: (to Luke) “I rest my case.”

Cuthbert Harris: “I will now declare, once again, the nominees. First in the line-up is the handsome Aaron Wallace with his unbiased critique of last year’s cinematic offerings! Next is the dashing Christopher Disher with his prompt review of Earth. After that we get Christopher once more, along with the stunningly pretty Caitlin Custer! The duo gave us the premiere report of Ariel’s Beginning and an interview video to boot! To follow that we have JP Chism, and the accompanying article of Sleeping Beauty’s El Capitan screening. We round up the nominees with Christopher Disher - again - and his Tinker Bell-centric article last year!”

Luke: “Well, you’ve got to admit he’s very good at dishing out compliments!”

Cuthbert Harris: (to Luke) “Oh, and you’re cute too!”

Luke: (blushes) “Oh gawrsh!”

Cuthbert Harris: And the winning site article is *insert title of winning site article here*!

Congratulations, CJ- much deserved!

Poor Scarlet. Definitely not funny in my book (but the last line was kind of funny).

Congrats, Disney Discussion. Don't tell the other forums, but you're my favorite! :)

Beyonce Clown was funny...until she hurt her head. I wasn't feeling the "people who perform musical numbers and then end up hurting themselves" theme.

Thanks for the "really lol" comment, Julian!

Congrats, all you mods. And Laz. And Hot Nana. Good job!

Congrats, JP!

Oh, and I started off the awards literally lolling at Albert's first comment. Clever. :p

And, last but not least, lol @ Nick pulling a Kanye. :)

I was quite worried that I wouldn't be able to enjoy that, once I saw that it was Harry Potter related, but then when they introduced themselves, it was quite enjoyable, since I learned who was who! But sad times at the end.

Sorry I'm late, folks. Congrats to all of the winners thus far!

The YouTube Players are hysterical. My face still hurts after watching The Single Clowns one.

You mean you've never read any of the books or seen any of the movies? Go out and grab copies of the first book and film. Shoo, shoo!

I'm sure that I'll eventually get around to reading them. My mom bought all the books, and at one point she said that she'd give me them. Maybe when they move closer next year, she'll give me them and I'll get reading them!

Yeah, it will. This banner covers less ground than the upcoming 90s one will since we've got two films here with two leads each. The 2000s will also be split in two. Thanks for noticing! :D

Definitely try to get a hold of them if you have the chance, especially if you can do it before the (first half of) the last film is released next November. I guarantee you you'll love them.

I think we can all agree that Ultimate Disney is a fansite with very socially and politically aware members, who use the website often as a means of expressing opinions that shake our already turbulent world. These discussions include such age old queries like, "OMG! That idiot Lasseter put Randy Newman in TPATF!?!? WTF!?!" and "Blu-Ray's BETTER than DVD, because it makes Dorothy's slippers more shiny-er!". It's certainly a good thing that we have our poll and game section when debates like these become too heated.

In all seriousness, it takes a lot of creativity to make a game work, not to mention forming a concept that is not too complicated so that members will continue playing it. The best part of our games here, and in other forums, is that you get to learn new things about your fellow members in the process of playing the game, and sometimes things you never would have guessed. So, to the creators of the games, and the players that make them last, thank you!

And the nominees are-
