My first Disney DVD was hercules back in december of 1999. I got it as a gift from my boyfriend b/c he knew that i liked that movie but the main reason i got it was because he also knew that it was one of the only disney movies that he would watch with me. Hehe... Whatever the reason, i am glad that i got it.
The first disney dvd i bought myself was probably tarzan collector's edition back in 2000. I bought it first b/c i wanted a collector's edition and i happened to have the money at the time. Oh, I also bought Ultimate toy box on the same day.

My first Disney DVD was the Gold Classics Alice in Wonderland which was my first for the obvious reason.

My first 2-Disc DVD was Tarzan: Collector's Edition which blew me away, and my first DVD period was The Sixth Sense: Collector's Edition.

Well, it was Toy Story/Toy Story 2-Pack, but nowadays, Disney/Pixar films aren't labeled as "Disney DVDs".
Second to that set what Snow White. I picked it up because I remembered how much I liked it as a kid, and the idea of an "Immersive 2-Disc Set" drew me to it even more. After seeing it again and watching all the features, it really started to get me back into animation again after some years.

My first DVD release was Lilo & Stitch. It was the only Disney DVD out when I first got my DVD player that I wanted. Now I have so many Disney DVD that they make up most of my collection.

The first Disney DVD that I got (which came from my mom) was Pinocchio (Limited). Oh how I love that movie. I am so glad my mom got it for me. She was skeptical at first, but I said it was a classic and that when I have kids that this is one that I really would want to have. Since then, I have been building my collection for these future kids and I don't even have a boyfriend yet! My mom thinks I am crazy, but can see why I like the appeal (when she came with me and saw Finding Nemo in theaters). The last DIsney movie my mother has given me was Eloise at the Plaza, mainly for the reason that she went and played around in hotels most of her young life.

I think my first DVD was "The Rescuers Down Under"... which is quite appropriate since it is one of my all-time favourite Disney films... followed closely by the Toy Story Toy Box set. I think the Christmas after I got a DVD player, all I asked for was DVDs of animated films.
And I know my first VHS was "Mary Poppins" which we must have gotten when I was about three years old. It was in fact the only store-bought VHS movie we owned for many, many years.

My first Disney DVD was Beauty and the Beast. I didn't have a DVD player at the time, but I was so worked up about my favorite movie coming out as a "Platinum 2-disc" release that I had to get it. Later that same day, I decided I might as well start collecting all the Platinum releases and purchased the Snow White DVD as well.
I didn't get my first DVD player until three months after both purchases.

Hmm...that's a tough one. I think it was Mulan. No, or maybe it was Beauty and the Beast. No, wait, maybe...no it was Mulan. I hadn't decided to collect movies yet when I got my first few DVDs and I certainly wasn't getting cartoons yet. It was actually...oh no! Now I remember!
My first Disney DVD was The Walt Disney Treasures Silly Symphonies. I got it partly because of the Ugly Duckling picture on the cover. It was one of my first DVDs and certainly the most expensive one I had purchased at that point in my life. Now, it's one of the DVDS I cherrish the most. Soon after that one I got Mickey Mouse in Living Color. I've been collecting all of them since. For the traditional cartoons, the first one was probably either Mulan or Atlantis, but I can't remember since I purchased both used at around the same time.

Oh, well... my first Disney DVD was... er.... "An Extremely Goofy Movie" in August 2000.

It was a gift from a relative...
Well, at least the first DVD I bought (and my second Disney DVD) was "The Jungle Book" in September 2000... and the third was "The Little Mermaid"!
My first region 1 DVD was the single disc "The Emperor's New Groove" (latter I bought the 2-disc version as well). My first 2-discer was "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs - PE".

Snow White was my very first DVD. I bought in 2002 months before I or any of my friends/family even had a DVD-player. The film and aaall the extras were worth the wait, though. My DVD collection is still not that big: only 29 titles so far, but 21 of them are animated films...

I think it was Operation Dumbo Drop, and I bought it because it was on sale when I bought my DVD player (the summer of 99).
The first classics was Fantasia and Fantasia 2000, when they were released.

Hercules and Mulan, if I recall correctly. I bought them both at the same time. Didn't pick up The Little Mermaid, and I've been feeling like an idiot ever since...

It was either the Fantasia Anthology or The Ultimate Toy Box set for the Toy Story films. I know the Matrix was my first non-Disney dvd.

My first Disney DVD was The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, which I bought on September 8, 2003 because it had a coupon on the box at Costco for $5 off Sleeping Beauty, which I bought the next day. I now have 22 of the animated classics, the Treasures box set, a few live-action Disney DVDs, and Nemo and Bug's Life. I didn't get a DVD player until May 2003.
I bought all four of the original treasures and Snow White

at the same time. The Disney Treasures were the reason I bought a DVD player.
Now I own all but one of the animated classics(Aladdin) although Bambi and Cinderella are not true Disney releases.

My first one was Snow White. I was not quite into the Disney collecting (yet) and I saw all extras and it was a 2 disc 'Platinum' set. Really didn't know all the details about it at the time, but since we were expecting, I really wanted to get a collection going and have put together a very good collection thus far. I only need a handful like Aladdin, Little Mermaid, Jungle Book, Bambi, Lady & The Tramp and 101 Dalmations. So not too shabby. Just have to wait for these Platinum Editions!
