Yeah, CH Greenblat is definitely a Disney fan. He mentioned in an interview that the idea for Chowder came from the "Sorcerer's Apprentice", mainly the idea of a little guy being an apprentice to a great man.
He's also quite the videogame fan. He references Katamary Damacy in the bubble gum episode. Mario and Luigi look-alikes are seen in the Lucky Cat episode.
So far my favorite episode is the one where Chowder becomes smarts and breaks the fourth wall by realizing he's living in a cartoon.
