I would love to see a Disney Classic on the big screen. The last time was 10 years ago, when I went to see Tarzan. I'm not going to watch any Classic in 3D, that's just nonsense.

If they make a *new* Classic in 3D, I'll watch it. But I see absolutely no purpose in watching an already existing Classic, which was meant to be shown in 2D, in 3D.

Even "3D" movies like The Incredibles have no more dimensions to the eye than "2D" movies like Beauty and the Beast when you think of it. The only "3D" films are those you watch with special glasses.

Of course, the real 3D is a nice gimmick, but does it make you enjoy classic animation much more?

I don't know I've never seen a 2D film in 3D and from the impressions of the preview it sounds amazing.

When I see it I will judge it. However anything new and fresh is always worth a shot.

Exactly!

And I can't stand those glasses, but you are right, it doesn't have anything to do with appreciating/enjoying the classic animation more.

It's actually all about not appreciating the original animation but appreciating the newest gimmicks instead.
And it might look nice with the glasses, but if it makes people enjoy the classics more, I don't think so.

That's what I think too, and as a matter of fact, I think the 2d classics look much more dimensional to the eye than the 3d films. It's unbelievable how flat they look sometimes.

I enjoy very much!

I just don't see the point of wonderful three dimensional looking 2d films adjusting and make things pop-out.....

Why don't they put the time and effort in giving the existing 3d films some actual depth?

OMG. I'm so sick of all these effing arguments on this board! Everything turns into a stupid ass fight around here. People can't have a freaking normal conversation anymore. It's all this constant bickering that has brought UD down in the past year.

So you don't like Blu-ray? Great! Don't buy it!

You don't wanna watch something in 3D?? Don't go watch it!

It's THAT simple, folks!

This is why I hate coming to the Disney Discussion anymore, everything is just a freaking fight and I'm sooooo sick of it.

I do think that many 2D films have dimension, but the conversion can be successful if handled well.

I feel kinda special now (and not in *that* way

). In the past three weeks I had a chance to see Mulan, The Little Mermaid and Finding Nemo in a movie theater - on weekend matinees for kids and families. More Disney/Pixar movies are to come (nothing pre-1997 though).

Yes, but the local Marcus theater has morning matinee shows of kids movies. I (briefly) thought I might've overlooked a couple. But yeah, that would do it.

Deco King the Snow White - oholic here again!! What else should I talk about ??

In 2012 Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs turns 75 , so I guess Disney should re-release Snow White in cinemas or as you say in the USA Movie Theatres sorry Theaters that year!

As this landmark movie stated the ball rolling I think it fully deserves the accolade of a theatrical re-release in whatever new digitally remasted format is around in three years time!!!

Actually, we say both cinema and theater.
