That show just passed through our town a few weeks ago. Word of advice: Never get the tickets last minute. You won't get them.

It will be here in Orlando in about a week or so. No money for tickets though.

I saw it and enjoyed it, but thought it was overrated, too. However, I did not see it with Idina, and I would probably cut off my right arm to see it with her.

Eh, you're not missing anything. Take a shrieking girl, paint her green, and put her on a cherry picker. That's pretty much the only thing you miss out on not seeing the show. Plus that way you don't have to sit through the inane book, aka two hours of Oz "puns".
Suck on something well written, homos.

So, um, Julian... You know how sometimes you go a little overboard?
Yeah.....

Ya, I've had enough of Wicked for one life (and strangely not enough of 1776, Hello, Dolly!, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying among others...).

US endorses UN gay rights text
WASHINGTON – The Obama administration on Wednesday formally endorsed a U.N. statement calling for the worldwide decriminalization of homosexuality, a measure that former President George W. Bush had refused to sign.
The move was the administration's latest in reversing Bush-era decisions that have been heavily criticized by human rights and other groups. The United States was the only western nation not to sign onto the declaration when it came up at the U.N. General Assembly in December.

I trump you all. I have a Jake Gyllenhaal in drag singing Dreamgirls.
With backup singers.

I've finally decided to make my presence known in this thread

. I've been kinda lurking around it but never got to post.
So anyway, I'm gay - in case there was ever any doubt

(for some reason, I'm imagining a lot of people here going "I Knew It!“). Since I come from a conservative environment, I'm still in the closet. Nobody here knows I'm gay, not even my own family, but I'm sure some people have their suspicions. If they don't, then they either must think I'm too shy to date girls or they must be really oblivious or even stupid

.
I don't have any gay friends, nor have I ever met a gay person for that matter. Chris is the only one I've ever told this to. But I really do hope I'll make friends with other people here.
Phew! That's about it for my introduction story. Feel free to ask me anything else you want to know.
Oh, one more thing: for a gay guy, I'm not that high on musicals (well, other than animated ones) so I don't get many of these references. Please don't take it against me

.

Good for you Mooky! Speaking from experience, UD is the best place to first come out as there are plenty here to support (or in Chris' case try to marry) you. May you find happiness with being out with others later.
Oh and Brendan, that album, frightens me. I haven't even listened to it, but the picture alone is quite terrifying.

Hey! I don't try to marry EVERYONE, Flangy! Sheesh!
Only 3, 4 people, tops!
