I'm up for another adventure with Mike and Sully. Hmm what could they do for a sequel? Maybe they train a new recruit for the scare floor?

I am not so sure about a Monsters Inc sequel since the first one ended fine, but I like everything Pixar, so I might be surprised.

I think there is a lot of potential for a sequel, but there are also a million ways they could mess it up. I think the big no no would be for them to have Boo age. I'm not looking forward to Toy Story 3 because of the fact that Andy is off at college and the toys are no longer Andy's toys. If Boo is going to be in it, I hope she is the same age.

Well, you never know. They might make Boo this really hot girl who opts for a career in porn films or something ...

Agreed. The ending sealed the end of the Monsters INC story. I'm still baffled as to why any Pixar film BUT The Incredibles is getting sequelfied.

Right? "Toy Story 3" is a good idea, make a nice trilogy and stop there. However, the thought of "Cars 2" makes me queasy. A sequel to "The Incredibles" is definitely the most feasible. A sequel to "Finding Nemo" could probably even work too, given its large popularity.

But Nemo would have to get lost and found again, or else the title would be stupid, unless the title wouldn't be Finding Nemo 2. I think, to me, Finding Nemo makes the least sense, since the whole adventure was to find Nemo, which they did. End of story. I know that one could make the argument about any other movie, like "Mike and Sulley got Boo home safely, end of story". But Monstropolis can hold so many stories...

I guess I can't describe it in words, or maybe I'm just wrong. But there was a particlular task to be done, to find Nemo, and that task was done. Maybe because there's no true bad guy (besides Darla, who doesn't play a big part) (I guess the sharks are villains, but in a different way), I feel like I do? I don't know.

I'm not up for it. No matter how great of a storyline they'll make, it'll ruin that "I want to see Boo one last time" feeling from the ending. They even talk about it in the director's commentary. I think it is much better if the audience is left with an open ending and they continue the story using their imagination.

blackcauldron85 - Um, "Finding Dory". It's so simple. She gets lost because of her short term memory loss, and all she can remember is the name "Nemo". So, similar to "P. Sherman 42 Wallaby Way Sydney" - she crosses the ocean chasing down the clue "Nemo". She meets all sorts of sea life that are either annoyed by her memory loss or amused, a few find her endearing.

Meanwhile, Marlin and Nemo set out to find her.

I'd love it. Nemo remains my favorite Pixar film.

So, would they name it Finding Dory? As long as the name reflects the film, you know? I'd be fine with that.

I agree. a sequel of the Incredibles would make much more sense.

I actually have an idea for Monsters INC 2.......

Mike and Celia have a child. Its take your child to work day.....and during a day of Laughs.....their child somehow gets lost in HUMAN world and has to be hidden and protected by........Boo's daughter!






Incredibles 2 would be Sweeeet!

^hey thats not bad. although for it to be Boo's daughter it would've have to be like, 20 years into the future (unless boo gets pregnified at what, 13).

maybe just give Boo a cameo/pivotal role right at the end of the film

I think Monstropolis will be discovered by humans or something.

And a huge war will take place. Monsters Vs. Humans.

I fully agree. I never want to see "Monster's Inc. 2" EVER! It would destroy the end of the original.

I think if they want to make sequels, Incredibales makes the most sense for sure. Past that, maybe "A Bug's Life." They are already making one for "Cars." They could do one for "Ratatouille" or "Up," but it would have to be REALLY good, other wise it would feel cheep. "Wall-E" just would not make a good second go round, same with "Nemo."

I would put Ratatouille and Up on a list of Pixar films that should NEVER have sequels.

Up? For real? They wrapped that up so well. That one needs to be left alone.

I'd mostly agree and certainly would not want to see any new "Up" or "Ratatouille" films. But, my main point was they are more likely to be sequeled and have it be good then "Monster's Inc." That's all I'm saying...

I like that Randall didn't die. He could come back for revenge in a sequel. Also if MI 2 happened, I'd like it to take place a couple of months after the original so Boo has hardly aged.

But that is the point of the ending of the original and why they can't make another one, we are left wondering how much Boo has aged and what she looks like and what will happen. The point of that ending was for everyone watching to figure out in their own minds what comes next, the use their imagination. If we get a new film, it would answer that question and take away the whole point of the ending in the first place!
