I never realized how many of us (UD members) are alone and miserable. Does that say something about begin a Disney fan?

Way to ruin the gloomy "we're all lonely and miserable" mood, why would you go and bring happy thoughts and wishes to us when we're already perfectly miserable?
joking of course

Don't mind me I'll be over in the bitterness area brooding over yet another wasted holiday without the special someone.

I'm alone at the moment, too, but...
we're too young to be miserable!
But I do have candy.
Just what I need--to get fat so I'll be alone next year, too.
Anyway, I would hope I could be in love everyday and not just once a year.
And I wonder how many babies'll be born in November this year. I really don't need more cousins.

We are too young I say we go out and find someone! I'll just wait here though you let me know how it goes for you
Also if you want I can come over and hork candy with you so you know we'd both end up less fat than if we both horked candy alone

Well ...
Chris is being too arrogant. We're not prizes to be won! Yeah!
Flangy, I say we dump him. Him and his Jakey-Poo!

Yes, we are young, and we should be happy (me because I'm goin' to WDW in 16 days) and eating candy.

I knew we'd hit that little snag...
Must...get...
job!
Of course! Now all we need is a teleport device before all the candy's gone. We're already 70% behind!!!

Woooo! That made my day, hahaha.
Me? Arrogant? PFFFFT.

Oh, that's good stuff.
And believe me, if I was alone with my Jakey-poo, posting on here is the last thing I'd be doing.

What bugs me about the holiday is NOT the commercialism or the materialism, its the hypocrites who diss the holiday when they are single, but embrace the minute they have a Valentine.
Valentine's is a silly holiday whether you are single or with someone. In fact, its even WORSE when you have someone because society expects you to go all out, it doesn't matter if you were the best boyfriend/girlfriend throughout the year. If you fail to do something on Valentine's you are a very evil person.
At least when you are single you don't worry about it

.
Hope this comforts anyone feeling emo today

Nope, still wanna wear all black, sulk and cut myself and be all depressing.
Na, that's impossible for me. I'm to bright and sunny as a person and in taste in general (no really!) to be emo.

Happy Valentines Day everyone. I'm alone, but not miserable. Its basically just another Saturday for me. Doing some work, etc... I've never been a big fan of Valentines Day anyway.

Well, for me Valentine's Day is always special since it is something like my second birthday.
I was born with a cardiac defect (basically there was a big hole in there) and when they finally found out what was wrong with me, my parents were told I would need surgery when I was a little older or I would eventually die since my heart wouldn't be strong enough to support my body later.
Fortunately, the defect was not too complicated and could be fixed and I would only need this one surgery and very certainly be fine for the rest of my life (and so I've been ever since, knock on wood)
So on February 14th 1991 I had surgery on my heart and the doctor who did it was called Dr. Fenchel, so for me Valentine's Day isn't VD, but Fenchel's Day.
And every year my family and I celebrate that day like a little second birthday.
Just my special little Valentine's Day story.

That is a nice story Dottie, at least today has genuine importance/reason to celebrate for you!

I guess I'm really one of the few then who had a Happy Valentine's Day, even when my loved one is more than 1000 miles away.

Ever since grade 8 Ive always been like "I hate Valentine's Day because I don't have a girlfriend blahh blahh blahh". But this years been better, I don't think I really care that much anymore. I actually had a very fun Valentine's Day with the fam. We had a special dinner of shirley temples and heart shaped pasta, played wii and just basically hung out. It was nice because my niece is here and we only see her once every 2 months. So to everone Happy Valentine's Day and hopefully I wont be single next year.

I think people need to get over the whole romantic aspect of the holiday. Seriously, the holiday is about love - the friend and family kind too. So why not spend the day appreciating all the people in your life?
Just a thought!
